Constant problem this morning in that when I try to view an article, I get a message saying that "Plug-in 'Unknown' is not responding. Do you wish to stop it? Yes/No". Clicking Yes in some cases does nothing and crashes the browser, and clicking No does nothing because the page is still frozen.

Anyone else getting problems via Chrome?

EDIT 2: http://img19.imagesh...sportcrash2.jpg

EDIT 3: Version of Chrome is 4.0.249.89.

Which version/build of Chrome, sir? And have you verified whether all your plugins are up to date?

I've added 2 screenshots above...

4.0.249.89.

And how do you verify that?

I'm using the same version as you.

Is it trying to load a video or something? In that first screenshot. Perhaps some plug-in for that freezes it.

Try version 4.1.something-or-other: http://www.google.co...ng/chrome/beta/

Using it here and have no problems at all.

I've had Chrome since the first betas and never a problem.

Re install it is all I can suggest.

Bumping an old thread of mine, cause am again having problems - just with Autosport on Chrome. For the past few day or so, since about Tuesday the site has been loading extremely slowly, like taking 5 minutes for even the background to appear.

Every other site is fine, its just Autosport that's the problem. So I uninstalled Chrome today and reinstalled it. Went onto Autosport - problem still there. Doesn't affect any other site. (including these forums I may add)

Sometimes it does load fully, but even then I'm left waiting two to three minutes. To put it simply, its very slow.

Anyone else having problems with Chrome... or is it just me? (again...)

(edit - http://img17.imagesh...portproblem.png - that was at 16:31. At 16:34 its still loading and loading on that exact same screen with no more progress made)

Is it just as slow in MIE?

Presuming you mean IE, it loads extremely slowly again. Loading takes minutes instead of seconds.... odd. :|

If it's impacting both browsers then that would suggest your internet provider may be having issues rather than the browser itself. Perhaps there is an intermittent routing issue between your provider and autosports. Alternative theory is it's a flash issue, could try re-installing flash perhaps.

Just tried re-installing Flash, no luck. :( Sometimes the page gets halfway down loading, but it takes such a long time to do it, at least a few minutes.

Thanks for the help though. :)

Have you tried accessing autosport.com via a proxy to see if it loads any quicker?

I think it's something to do with the Senna background, however I'm not quite sure why.... as http://www.autosport.com/live loads instantly too (a page which does not have the Senna background picture)

Turn PC on this morning and it loads straight away. Odd.
