At least he will start 17th. On the good side. Let's hope for a good start and a top 10 spot after lap 1.

OF COURSE THIS HAPPENS! OF COURSE THIS HAPPENS! OF COURSE THIS F****ING HAAAAAAAAPPPPPENS!!!!!

Wow.

Just wow.

All I can say is wow.

It's too typical, I see it tomorrow. I see the headlines tomorrow. "Schumacher taken out at the first corner with a broken wing and broken nose, retires from the race."

It's bound to happen. BOUND TO HAPPEN I tell you.

Nope, these are the ones of his best lap, he was asking abouth his last one.

I am pretty sure it is that. Before he have 30.1 and 41,3 , even worst.

Why? Are there two penalties on the grid?

If those were his times for the best lap, 29,9 and 41,2 sounds like Rosberg level to me, considering Rosberg was only 0.3 ahead, right?

Are you kidding? You think MSC still has championship chances?

I'm guessing you've started following Schumacher's career only since 2010.

Nico second was 40,9 at that moment. If MS have better than 23,8 last sector he could get in Q2 and stay there maybe, we don't know if he come out again.

Ultimately what cost him was running wide in the fast left under going up the hill. The technical failure prevented him from running again perhaps due to safety concerns.

Yes it absolutely sucks and yes it bloody hurts but you can't claim you have lost all hope now- there are many more races to come and Schumi will have his days.

Cheer up guys you never know what might happen tomorrow- a good first lap and a safety car good turn things on its head.

Keep the faith. Schumi needs your support when times are tough.

Edited to also say that p18 will end up being p16 after Maldonado and Vergne take their penalties.

No worries, we like a challenge. Anybody can put it on pole and run away with the race. I'll enjoy watching Michael scythe through the field.

I think Maldonado is on a gearbox change, and Vergne will surely be penalized for skipping the weighbridge.

The rule for doing that used to be "Go Home!" but I think it's changed now, not sure to what though.

Why didn't it cost Rosberg that he left the track during his first timed lap?

That's not on a serious note, but I think it points out how random this Q3 exit was.

See, it's not that I don't have any faith in Schumi. And I think im not the only one with the same thinking......

I mean, we're all curious on how he does starting at 18th or whatever tomorrow and blitzing his way up the positions. It'll be fun seeing Schumi be competitive in earning spots towards the upper grid. The prospect of him trying to gain positions itself is exciting indeed.

What I fear and expect is, some id!ot will (LIKE USUAL) bump into Schumacher and force him out of the race while he tries to battle at the start tomorrow. That or some f*** up by Merc crew themselves. That's what I expect to see tomorrow, sorry.

It'll be fun, but personally I just want to see him on the podium(which under these circumstances is pretty much impossible). I guess fingers crossed for a decent start and a points finish. Hopefully team won't f*ck up the next one...

If his ddrs works tomorrow we may enjoy a good performance although it will be hard for his tyres. As for his Q1 best S1 and S2 i will wait for something official because on his last lap they were definitely green but maybe Ivan is right and they were slightly better ( although that is not what i remember ).

edit: maybe he could have beat Rosberg in Q3 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

**** me..

Expect the worst, hope for the best. A Spa 2011/Monaco 2006. I just think the season becomes better usually as it goes along for MS, Rosberg usuaully has things go his way earlier in the year.

I think Webber and Vettel will make things harder for Mercedes. Mclaren and redbull may feature well here, I thnk redbull will do well on tracks with high tyre war.

This won't be a easy race maybe and Rosberg has used up a set of tyres for not the best qualifying effort for himself.

This is all about the race. And I think redbull have had a good race car, and their qualifying today may mean bad news for mercedes, but we knew this could happen and mercedes needs to keep pushing on performance and reliability.

I don´t think Michael would have done only a 1.33:3 just in front of Perez if we look at the times...

He will most probably will have to deal with Ferrari and force India in the first lap if he gets a good start. Will we get to see the duels?

Have you seen force India in the tv coverage lately? Conspiracy theorists working overtime now. :)

Many many chances for Mercedes to f*** him up (again). Where RedBull has escaped the Jaguar jinx, the BAR one is biting MS.

I think MS team should come up with a very very good strategy so as to end up with good points.

The less they use the soft compound better.

I assume all the front runners are on soft so they will need a earlier/extra pit stop. (Except for Force India).
MS good luck, we are with you all the way. Score good points and lets start this year's campaign from tomorrow.

A very disappointing start. And for n-th time because of technical problems. I know it's a bit tin foil hat, but can't help the feeling someone is being nasty in the mechanics team.

Didn't we spend years when Schumachers team mates had worse reliability hearing that it was down to the drivers?

What's changed?

There is a difference between worse reliabilty and WAY worse. Since the beginning of 2011 it´s WAY worse on the left side of the garage.
Wasn´t the case to that extend in 2010

I think China was pretty much the best chance to win a race this year for them (which they did) as it was last year and 2010.
The car should be very good at some other tracks (Canada, Monza, Singapore, Korea?) so there might be another 1-2 chances but that´s it.

I think i will be a little more optimistic. I think there are more tracks that the W03 can work well in a trouble-free weekend. After all the conditions in Bahrain are unique. I think the team can establish themselves in the top 3, but i don't know if this will be enough for Schumy to win a race.

He´s on the back foot now and doesn´t look as comfortable as he did in Melbourne or Malaysia.

When I read the absolute panic on this forum among MSC fans, sometimes I wonder... You guys who are bitterly crushed that his WDC chances are slipping and that he "might never get on the podium"... Did most of you guys start watching F1 post-2006? I'm a huge fan myself, and I love to see him race at the front, but if things don't work out I'm not pulling my hair out because I've been watching long enough to have enjoyed his entire dominant career at Ferrari and seen him stand on innumerable podiums. As long as he can pull something special out of the hat in Canada when I get to go to that race I'll be satisfied with his season

No, just no.

People need to stop saying this, I've seen this said a few times regarding Schumacher's position. It's utterly moronic, sorry ivan I enjoy your posts but this is silly. Silly because it makes a mockery of the issues Bahrain has and also it undermines Schumacher entirely, he doesn't need this race cancelled because he is starting way down. He can fight, he can gain places and he can have a great race.

He doesn't need this race cancelled to save himself from anything.
