yoo hoooooo time to print and frame this timing sheet!!

Posted Image

e
That's a time sheet for posterity - maybe the last time we see that. Incredible, and incredible feeling in the live comments.
Really sad his penalty, if he were 1st it would be one hell of a race - Schumacher holding up everyone to win the Monaco GP.

So his great abilities and his deficiencies all show in a focal point of time - no better place than Monaco!

Awesome lap. It just shows he still has plenty of speed left in him. Everyone around him is elite or top class so we shouldn't see any incidents with any ex GP2 kamikaze drivers..

I'm smiling like the first time i got laid

WOO HOO!! I jumped off my chair when Michael got pole! Fantastic job. Massive shame about the grid penalty, which was harsh but can't argue with it now.

I'm so happy, just like the old days for a moment.

A great day for Mercedes at Monaco.

Fantastic job, shame about the penalty, but Karma is what it is. Too bad this pole is not going into his records and the chance of victory probably gone.

But it is going into his records!! This is his official 69th pole position. Penalty is applied on the grid, not at the qualifying result.

And he will have a decent shot of a podium tomorrow :smoking:

Well done Schumacher! I am extremely glad!
I wasn't exactly wrong in my predictions too, at most two tenths would separate Nico and Michael....I just got the order wrong :)

The car is the best, and he has showed an up yours to a lot of critics.

Now just hope he gets clean thru T1 at the start tomorrow and then everything is possible.

Im SO HAPPY!!! :))

The mediocre, old, 80% driving speed Schumacher showing who exactly is the daddy.

Suffer, EJ. Suffer, Ross. Suffer, naysayers.

Amazing job by Michael. Knowing how bad the Mercs are in race trim I don't see him making it too far up the grid though.

Thank you, Michael; just made my weekend, week, and month. Fantastic lap, did the best he possibly could have under the circumstances, so 6th isn't too bad, still hoping for a nice, solid points finish. Unless some retard punts him off, that is.

Like someone said :

this quali shows the great parts of Michael (pole) and the not so good parts (penalty).

I am so happy anyway.

Andy35 and JonPollak put that exactly right: it shows the genius of the man and the tragedy of the man. What a race it would have been tomorrow. Still, there is hope, it's gonna be a classic Monaco GP this time around - and I think Alonso and Schumacher will meet once again....

Oh, I'm trying to enjoy it, but I somehow can't. It's such a great result though!

Was watching on RTL and they hadn't even mentioned Schumacher was out again, kept going about Rosberg, Hamilton, Grosjean and then suddenly we get the last turn with Schumacher in it, they say "oh, he's being rather fast" and bam! Great driving, really great.

I think the infographics were horrible, half the time I was guessing who was where. And I only saw Schumacher once before he crossed the line fastest, in an onboard at the start of Q3. Bad directing in Monaco.

MSC was fastest in S2. and the only thing he did different was driving directly over that bump down the casino turn. perhaps that is a time-saver.

Super cool, but I think it says more about the car. The drivers were driving one-handed up Eau Rouge in 2010 due to the F-Duct. If the car sticks, and the Mercedes is clearly working great, he can afford to make such adjustments as there are no corrections to be made.

Birelman must have been one of the hundreds of backmarkers Schumacher used to lap 7-8 times a race in his heyday.

DC just couldn't help himself in commentary today having a dig could he. I know he was probs joking. Just cringeworthy when he was saying all hail Mark Webber and laughing.

possibly, but still, that amazed me. Would be interesting to see if any other drivers did it.

Top stuff from a legend! Screw the penalty, he just proved his detractors wrong on one of the toughest circuits at which he's never been very quick over a single lap even in the Ferrari days (i.e since 2001 mostly cause of the Bridgestones)

DC has begrudging respect for MS like so many. They are in awe of his achievments his speed (then and NOW) but also revel in the bad personality traits too.

Respect to DC though, he does have much respect and does pay high high compliments to MS frequently. If only Derek Warwick wasn't such a prick......

Good job you're here eh? He took it on board.

Congratulations to Michael and his fans.
That penalty was so harsh, F1 stewards screwing the competition since... who know when.
