Damm it...

:S

1:16:492 in Q2, less than a tenth faster then his FP3 time. This is not the first time, when they can't improve the FP time while the others can...

Yeah that's true. It might be that Rosberg and Schumacher are fighting for bragging rights at all times and go all out in FP and can't improve for qualifying.

eSafety is electronics systems that automatically apply the brakes if a car gets too close to another car. It's not perfected yet.

I think they were planning on 3 stopping for the race and saving all new sets of softs and hards for Q3 and the race. Schumi tried to do Q2 on mediums while Rosberg did it on softs. Schumi needed more laps to completely warm up the tyres, and he made mistakes too. On that first lap he got held up by the Force India. The second one was good enough for 10th at that time, but the third one he made a mistake. And no more time to do another lap.

He just didn't beat 1,16:500. This was the best for him. He didn't manage well traffic. O, well hope he start with hards tomorrow ,have nice start ,overtake both Williams. Lets hope for some points.

It's actually David Coulthard (wearing yellow make up)

Here's what he looks like without the make up

Thanks for clearing that up!

Makes sense to have DC with JV and MS...

Could it be that Michael was using less downforce setup than Rosberg and for this reason was overall slower over lap since Mercedes was such awful with grip? Through speed trap he was full 4.5 km/h faster than Rosberg. That is pretty much.

Now let's look at max speeds that cars in front of Michael had:

Michael 314.5

Hulkenberg 310.8
Rosberg 311
Vettel 311.8
Webber 312
Barrichello 313.3
Massa 313.8

Button 314.5
Sutil 315.5
Alonso 316.3
Liuzi 317.9
Hamilton 318.3
Kubica 321.5

So situation is not so tragic, but right behind Michael we have Petrov with massive 323.6 and Buemi with 323.2

Whatever Mercedes have done to increase straightline performance if they have, is not relating well to overall tyre/balance understanding.
Force India likely a better car then Mercedes this weekend, Renault as well. Ferrari as well, Redbull, it's quite competitive for Canada, and Mercedes isn't looking good for this track so far.

Why did Schu pit the second time? Why on hards again if he was already on hards? Seems odd! No more stops for him?

Massa had to go though a slave #2 contract in 2006, not being allowed to beat Schumacher, and he gets repaid by MS shunting him off the track.

Simply down to the tires.. what a piss poor decision to put those softs on with 30's laps to go.. and a few car rubs along the way and a trip through the grass..

Well, Jenson Button calls his tyre strategies. Michael Schumacher lets the team make excellent choices for him!

Schumacher should give the seat to someone who can drive. All those years at Ferrari it was all car, ross b and teamorders.

Bad result but I'm happy to see he's still got his racing instinct and 'bag of tricks'

Devious or dirty he may be, but it's that ruthlessness that made him so great.

Poor poor strategy though. He should have done one lap on the soft tyres and come immediately back in to go on the hards, he wouldn't have lost so much time, or had such a bad race.

I am scared we're never going to get the old Schumi back.....

What a bizarre race. It was typical Schumi not giving a quarter of an inch even when fighting for a point.

Massa had to go though a slave #2 contract in 2006, not being allowed to beat Schumacher, and he gets repaid by MS shunting him off the track.

It has to be said: while you air the supposed griveneces of so many people agains tSChumi, to me it seems that it is you (and Frans) that he has really really hurt. I feel bad.

So those that are complaining what are you actually complaining about?

That he managed to get in 3rd after 9 laps and was in a good position for a podium?

Or that he fought to keep his position?
Except when he cut the chicane against Liuzi there was nothing wrong with his driving.

Kubica ruined race for both of them. Not only pushed him onto grass, but he himself went off; that's how detemined he was. Really poor driving. Kubica has a car he doesn't know how to drive, nevermind exploit its stregth.

If Schumacher can't drive then what does that say about half of the other drivers who were barging into each other, going onto the grass and pointing the other way at some stage (Liuzzi, Massa, etc)

Terrible strategy from MGP.

Schumi had an excellent start, drove hard in the Kubica duel, where Kubica was definitely over-optimistc, but AGAIN, crap luck with Schumi getting his tyres ruined after the run through the grass and needing such a pit.

Choosing hard, however, was a hell of an error. And then not calling him in just after the Buemi stop was another error.

So many poor strategy decisions this year for MGP.

Otherwise, Massa was a fool and there was little wrong with the other incidents. Liuzzi first tried a pass where one can't pass, hence collision.

They were crazy, stupid strategy if they have any strategy? From 3-rd to 11-th. What was this stupid stint ,more than 25 laps with soft? He have enough time to get hard tires, he was more than 19 sec. in front of the next gay. Is this team have any brain?
