What could have been a fantastic race by Michael has turned into disaster after Kubica's banzai move (if the need to change tires was down to incident). And of course completely insane decision by whoever to go for almost have a race on soft tires.

So those that are complaining what are you actually complaining about?

That he managed to get in 3rd after 9 laps and was in a good position for a podium?

Or that he fought to keep his position?
Except when he cut the chicane against Liuzi there was nothing wrong with his driving.

Schumi reminds me Graham Hill in his last F1 years. Former master, still very determined, yet slow, too slow.

Age is a bitch.

Still undecided as to whether it was Schumacher or Kubica's fault. I think its 50/50 to be honest, Schumi cut him up and then kubica forced him wide over the grass.

Re the Massa incident i'm not sure it was Schumi's fault either as it looked like the car just got away from him under braking as the tyres were so terrible. I'd like to see another view though before I decide!

Not his best race, Brundle described it as appalling. Have to wonder why they kept him out on the soft tyres so long, not a good decision from Brawn

Stupid Stupid race strategy by Brawn ruins race for Schumacher who made an AMAZING start showing the noob Rosberg how it is done. Schumacher was 3rd at one point but that stint with Kubica made him pit again but the blunder of the race came from brawn when he did not allowed Schumi to pit around lap 50 when he could have pitted, gotten fresh tyres and stayed ahead of hulk/massa/liuzzi etc. Instead Brawn made him saty on super softs for 40 FRIKKIN LAPS when they couldn't even last 10 laps.

Nevertheless amazing race from Schumacher and only one who really fought during the race rather than simply giving away race position. Thats why I love him!

It could have been a fantastic day for Michael but after been driven off the road by Kubica (not saying i didn't enjoy that fight i did) and then needed to change his tyres very quickly after eachother his race was done, well that was until he had to drive with the soft tyres for so long was just baffeling..

At least he showed a lot of fighting spirit and all within the rules unlike some here will say.

Awaits the haters..

I dont think he drove appauling at all Brundle is just stupid. Nothing MS could do on softs for 30 laps.

Yeah, what was up with Brundle today? Probably Michael didn't give him an interview on the grid and Martin then decided to slag him off in the broadcast.

Ross Brawn is not the same. Yes,Michael was very slow with tires nobody use more than 10 laps. They were 2-3 sec. faster than him with fresh tires..

His tyres were shot. That's what caused him to be 'too slow'

The speed is still there (Spain, Monaco, Turkey, as well as some fastest laps over Rosberg over various races), as is the racing instinct (China, Monaco and Canada) as well as the determination and commitment to succeed.

Are you on crack!?

I don't blame Kubica but I am not sure why Schumacher is taking so much flak for it. When two cars go into a chicane side by side it usually ends up in tears.
It did look like he cut across into Massa, which he can't do and if that is true he should get a penalty. However Brundle is been he bias self when he is complaining about Schumacher making two moves- it's very common, and accepted, for a driver to move back onto the race lining- something that Hamilton did earlier in the race and Brundle said that he should get away with it.

On a different note: I wonder will Schumacher rethink racing next year. This team is going nowhere- Brawn seems to have completely lost his touch and has no idea how to read a race, let alone build a team to compete.

His speed was there on Friday.. his speed was there at the start of the race..

His speed went off on Saturday due to the tires.... His speed went off after racing 30 laps on the softs that only last 10 laps here in Canada.

Still.. at the end of the day .. Mercedes needs to clean up it's act if it wants to be 3rd or 4th this season.. way too long of a season and before they know it .. they could be at the end of the mid-pack..

Given he went from 13th to 8th at the start, got up to 3rd and then after the unfortunate coming together with Kubica and the terrible tyre strategy he went backwards. He was more than a match for Rosberg on raw pace today. Still, it wasn't easy to watch as a Schumy fan.

also, not sure if Schumacher's start was really that great. He executed a really hard chop at the beginning and almost caused an accident. It was good in terms of positions, but not so great in terms of driving. Still though, will be interesting how Brawn explains the strategy choice

We all see when he need to come to change tires(how his racing engineer didn't see it), what they were expecting? Miracles from softs. He was having at least 9-th for sure.

Actually it looked to me like he still was the big lion but he is hampered by a bunch of bricks attached to his legs, and with the bricks i mean the car.

The Mercedes simply isn't up to the task and especially if you let him drive for over 30 laps on the soft tyre which everyone knows didn't work this weekend.

his race was ruined after that 2nd stop. He had a good pace before despite a damaged FW.
Whoever had that brilliant idea that the SS tyres could last half a race distance on that Mercedes should not drink beer with those outside temperatures...

Well the difference between Scumacher and Graham Hill is that Graham Hill didn't go about putting people onto the grass. He done it to Kubica coming out of the pits and again to Massa near the end. I hope a penalty is coming his way.

He drove exactly like he did at Hungary in 2006. Or Spa in 1995, for that matter. Schumacher seems to have an instinctive terror of losing, which seems to fuel most of his controversial actions.

Rosberg made no mistakes today. MichaelĀ“s race was chock-full of them. Strategy did no favors to him but his driving was just pathetic - slow and dirty. What a combo :) Today was the day when MS had absolutely nothing to offer.

Today reinforces how easy it is to win 7 WDC with a slave teammate and the best car.
I doubt MS would have won even 1 WDC in the past if he had to actually race a strong teammate on equal terms all season.

Well they were teammates and Schu beat him, that usually makes a lasting "impression" lol. Also they had some fallout long ago about something Brundle said of him or something. Schu refused interviews with him after that.
