Mercedes comparative pace to rival teams is one thing. M Schumacher being beaten consistently by Rosberg in practice qualifying and races is something else. This whole lack of experience justification is wearing a bit think and old hat at best. He has had half a seasons worth of practice qualifying and racing not to mention his wealth of previous experience and his best chum Ross Brawn at the helm. I do think Schumacher deserves a place on the grid but the constant Peter pan fantasy of his fans of "just wait a few more raves and he will show you" is becoming a bit ridiculous and desperate. Accept the fact that he isn't all "that", Rosberg has proved to be the better driver for Mercedes and it is there in black and White. Just enjoy having your idol back on track and stop this nonsense pie in the sky crap and the world will be a better place. :-)

I didn't know Michael is threat for the world? :) How they still didn't make such movie. Problem is we don't know anything from inside(the team), this way we are all right. Car is now between 3rd and 7th best car. It will be very close.

What has Rosberg proven exactly? That he can drive fast in practise? The whole team has been lacking.

Sean,

I'll give you this, you are a die hard fan and looking at the glass half ful

Rosberg is also new to the team and the car and understands it enough to be consistently faster than MS. TO say if MS found his way into the best car on the grid and "then you would see what he is made of" is a bit silly. You could say that about half the drivers on the grid. It seems that if Rosberg found his way into the Redbull, he might be faster still and you would see what he was made of.

I really don't rate Rosberg that highly as he was not that quick compared to Webber. I think MS would have a harder time against Vettel or Webber had he the opportunity in a Redbull.

That remains the little spanner in the works, all this talk how the car sucks and MS (sic) concentrating on the 2011 car now, yet as long as he can't beat or at least match Rosberg he still won't win much, even with a dominant car.

On a sidenote, I watched FP2 on german Sport1 yesterday, and the moderator sais he was reluctant to critizise MS because he feared the backlash of the fans... :p :drunk:

It is interesting to know for what he want it to criticize him? To criticize somebody for free practise, or maybe he wanted to give him some advices? This guy was racing driver?

I believe he was talking in general about the whole season so far, not specifically that session. Sounded as if he was attacked by the fans earlier in the year, via their forum and viewer letters, I presume.

Wow, de la Rosa in the Sauber beats Michael Schumacher in the Mercedes GP.

Rosberg 5th
Schumacher 10th

The journey continues for Mighty Michael.

Sad to say, but the guy is done. He still has pace it's not on tap. There really is little point in continuing this comeback next year.

Why they have to do BS every time? What was the problem with Nico Q3 strategy? Why have to wait? He have good laps but problem in one sector. Button is in 14th, he need to retire. He is done.

All top 10 are starting on softs tomorrow, i would think that Schu will start on hards...race strategy i assume with his consistent good race times.

Anyone see what happened to Schumacher in S3 on his first hotlap? He was flying prior to that but then lost SECONDS in that last sector. Traffic?

He is 8 tenths off his team mate- Yamamoto was 4 tenths. He was only 7 tenths off in China when the car had massive snap oversteer... the guy is getting visible slower as the season goes on.

Michael himself is very disappointed with his showing in the RTL interview: he says he remained 4 tenths below were he should have been. He appeared very angry with himself, in the next moment he even contradicted himself, saying: "Today we returned to our old strength!", and while he was saying it, he hesitated, knowing how ridiculously this sounds.

And Button is one qualy away.

Have you watched q2?

In the end he could do only one run, had good speed in the first lap but something happened in the last sector. Shit happens. He was extremely dissapointed (mostly with himself) in the RTL interview.

On the first flying lap he lost 4 seconds in the final sector, anyone knows what happened? In his last try, he stuffed up the 2nd second sector, did a 29.8 as opposed to 29.4 in his earlier laps. Very disappointing, and I'm a huge fan. Should have been 5th or 6th easily.

Unfortunately most of the idiots here follow only the results rather than the live timing, and so wouldn't be aware of this. Not that they'd care anyway, they are just intent on bashing Schumacher.

Don´t know what went wrong. He just had to reproduce one of his Q2 runs and he would have been 6/7th at worst.

Mercedes did the right thing with MS in this qualifying session. They knew he was not quick enough so they sent him out last for two laps instead of wasting more tires and putting additional wear on engine.

If they were going for 10th, better he use hards in Q3. This would give him advantage. They just messed everything again. For me team don't care ,where is Michael. They need him behind Nico only.

So you mean he had only one new set of softs for Q3? Why did he use so much. His Q2 time was way way faster than his Q3 time.

Except he was quick enough, like the time in q2 shows.

Do the haters even watch F1? I wouldn't even bother to ask about watching live timing. :rotfl:

Oh, well. Another q3 to forget.

Check my sig, I was a big fan of Schumacher back in the day. Your right, something happened in S3- he screwed it up. As I said above, he still has some good pace but it's not on tap while it is for top drivers and like it was for Schumacher from 91-06.

And yes, it´s never been easier to bash Michael Schumacher.

Yes, that´s the point, it annoys me that MS occupies Nick Heidfelds seat. At this form of Schumi there is no doubt what would have been the better driver choice for Merc.

What a shame.

Schumacher should quit right now, let Nick race the car tomorrow.

What would the Schumacher fans be saying now if Villeneuve was back and was over 8/10's of a second slower then his midfield teammate? What would they say of Villeneuve if he was being comprehensively trounced by his teammate in the manner which Rosberg has been crushing Schumacher all season long?

"Stick a fork in'em he is done"
"Toast"
"Past sell by date"

Just imagine the sympathy these Schumacher fans would show Schumacher's fellow WDC Jacques Villeneuve if Villeneuve performed as badly as Schumacher has.

Go home Michael, please don't subject yourself and your fans to any more humiliation

Not bad at all for Michael. Don't forget that a single lap without fuel is much different to a race starting with full tanks.
If we judge only by the grid position, Button must be fired immediately :)

No way Mercedes was a 10th place car today... Michael disappoints significantly .. which is becoming a trend.

Maybe it's time to focus on 2010 Michael and not look ahead to next year!

Yes, he should not have gone out for his 2nd run in Q2 knowing he had one less set of softs, he was comfortably through. Again, poor call from MS, RB and that idiot of a race engineer he has got, Shovlin.
