:drunk: Now, my impression of Flav has been formed from following F1 and a film called The Four Year Plan about his time as part owner of QPR, I certainly didn't get 'intelligent' from him. Ignorant, indecisive and a bully yes, but intelligent no.

Alonso said that from the outside they are very different, but without media around, Briatore and Dennis were very similar. In that feature, they did a visit to Renault factory, Flavio was around, and I was surprised to see how serious and "work-like" he looked, as he was surprised by the cameras.

Or could be that Alonso said that because Flavio secretly communicates with Ron-speak when no one is looking? Or maybe without media around, Dennis speaks with an Italian accent and lots of gestures? Who knows.

The bottom line is that Alonso knows Briatore, as a human being, you and me only know the business side of him, we can only judge Briatore by his work. If you want to think he is a dick with his family and friends because some scandals in his professional life, go ahead, I will not judge him as a person because I only know his work in F1 and Benetton (the fashion brand).

Really? Because there's all sorts of pictures and videos of them two kissing etc.

I was really surprised when I found out that she's linked with him because I know of her from when I was an intern at an investment bank (though not the same one as her) but everybody around the city was all hyped up about having a model intern with a bank.

Anyway private life is private but I think a lot of his fans are curious because he's quite mysterious in that sense.

Them two kissing? (like mouth to mouth?)No there isn't anything apart from that video in which we can't even see what happens clearly. And that girl wasn't even Xenia. Even if there was any friendship etc, it's passé now.

Fernando would never kiss in public. He has been filmed with Raquel, but they didn't know there where camera's on that private resort...

And yes he's mysterious about everything...

To be fair everyone looks a little thin in that picture. Don't know if it's the camera or what but somethings definitley a bit off. Nice face though. On topic: I can't wait to see what fernando will do with the new car in spain. No work for me this week so i will get to watch every practice session. :p

Briatore was in Playboy and a business man, hopefully he will be next year Ferrari team principal. Alonso should be by the idea.

Come one guys stop posting this photos, this stuff is from his private life and he clearly didn't upload them to the internet, someone did, and probably Fernando is not happy about it.

Second part of the Q&A is up.

http://www.fernandoa...de-la-parrilla/

So he collect not only the helmets from his teammates but from everyone in the grid!, that's crazy, how many helmets he has in his house, 30 or 40?

Agreed!
Even though I've followed him for like 10 years now, but interviews like this just come to show just how much more there is still to know! Fascinating answers from him.

What a shame that he can't collect the scalps of all the drivers. Having the helmets is almost the same though :smoking:

What a treat it is being an Alonso fan now more than ever with so much interesting stuff coming from the man himself

Because we should listen always out Mother advices , ok Mum...;hair cut tomorrow...;)))

@javyRayo to @alo_oficial Define with one word: Spain, Italy, Ferrari, Real Madrid, F1, yourself

Spain: Life
Italy: Tradition
Ferrari: Passion
Real Madrid: Friends
Myself: ...???... Warrior...

I think it fits him very well, we should call him "the warrior" from now on

It does indeed suit him very well.

I often called him a gladiator but seeing as he has chosen Warrior as the word that describes him best then this should catch on. People have also been calling him the magician recently too.

It would be nice to see him have a defining iconic name for his legacy that will represent what he's all about.

Aside from the very expensive water, Fernando doesn't show off or flaunt his money. As everyone here can see, he seems very down to earth & a typical guy aside from his day job. The latest Q&A session was awesome and gives great insight into his character. Shows why he's my favorite driver.

People in spain have been calling him "magic alonso" since his years at Renault, he even has a song called "Magic Alonso"

If you search youtube "magic alonso" there are lots of videos

that quote was from Luca - not from Villeneuve...

Alonso, especially in the races, is the best driver in the world.” This comparison of the unforgettable Gilles and one of the two current Scuderia drivers came from Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo

That said - I do agree with Luca

What an inconsiderate thing to say while commemorating Gilles memory. Who cares about Alonso on a day like this? Odd.

Just because it's someone's *insert anniversary here* doesn't mean we should give them special treatment for that day. If you respect a person, respect them always, not just on a very specific day.

That said, what the **** was Luca thinking.

I guess they just see they're failing to give Alonso what he deserves so they praise him whenever they have the opportunity...

Less praising and more giving him a decent car... we already know Alonso is the best, no need to say it every two days

He'll get his chance. He's outperformed Alonso at the last two races. Finishing above him is a matter of time.

Yes, it was an unnecessary remark - unless he was asked a direct question, which I don't think was the case. Also, Montezemolo should remember that he has two drivers in the team.

Yes. Massa had better pace in both races. I've already stated the arguments in other threads.

China - Fantastic stint 1 pace, on par with Alonso in the others, screwed over by the strategy and Di Resta. The only person who lost out on strategy more than him was Raikkonen.
Bahrain - Amazing start, stronger pace all throughout, held up by Alonso when Felipe was running on softs and Fernando on the other compound. Even then, he easily kept up at the last stint.

In both races he ran a questionable strategy and in both races he played it out extremely well, even in China where it was doomed to fail. Which is funny, as in the previous two races he was easily among the two worst drivers on the track.

Makes me wonder if you're the person who hasn't been watching F1 lately. Or quite a few other people on this forum, for that matter. Especially proven after seeing that people thought Webber outperformed Vettel in China, or that Raikkonen was better than Vettel in Bahrain. Bonus points for saying Schumacher's utter shit again, because, of course, the 3 car failures and Romain Grosjean were all his fault.

If you mean +3 second slower than Alonso till Alonso's first pit stop is on par with Alonso, then for sure, fantastic pace. If you want to chat about Massa vs Alonso, go to the proper thread.

Alonso: “On top of that, there was definitely more respect then than there is now between us drivers, partly because they knew that, in those cars, they were risking their lives. I don’t want to say that today things are done incorrectly, but I believe there is not that mutual respect, at least not from everyone, that there was back then. It’s a problem that goes back a long way, to the junior categories and I think the time has come to try and get it back.”
