For the people that keep saying Alonso probably would have liked to win in a different way as well last week:

http://www.auto-moto...as-1948929.html
- After the 'incident' at the hairpin and his "this is rudiculous" comment asked for teamorders to get ahead.
- Ferrari told him they can't do that
- Alonso tried to prove he is much faster by dropping back and getting back at Massa's tail again (although gaining 2.4 seconds on Massa over the spread of 12 laps, during which Massa lost almost 1.5 seconds compared to Alonso due to backmarkers you can hardly call being much faster)
- Alonso kept asking for teamorders
- Massa ignored 2 times
- Alonso kept whining
- Third time Massa moved over in an obvious way

Quite clear it was Alonso who wanted it the most, not the team

When I read this article, it immediately reminded me of Indianapolis 2007. I can see several similarities.

I believe it will always be the driver. Whether he asks for it in his contract, in pre-race meetings or during the event. If the drivers are happy with full equality I can't see the team pushing for anything else.

I wonder what would happen in England if Spanish journalists asked Hamilton about cranes, liegates, team orders, favouritism, FIA's eternal forgiveness etc. the way these mediocre tabloid draftsmen did.

When Carlos Miquel asked Alonso in that press conference if all this is the result of him being back in the haunt, reportedly the British journalists booed him.

Understandably so. Their view is clear that it was the team orders which are the issue, just as it was in 2002. It's nothing to do with it being Alonso. Have you seen the press conference from Austria 2002?

I think most people relish the idea of the title fight being between as many drivers as possible.

At least you should have the dignity to mark the underlined part as your own addition, because nothing of it is in the AMUS article. Instead it reads "He [Alonso] clearly demonstrated that he was quicker."

So this article is true, there is no doubt, right? . If the radio was open , why we didn't hear anything of that?, the first or second time the pitwall asked Massa to let Alonso pass, or Alonso asking for team orders?.

I notice that Stefano is in between Felipe and Fernando. I guess he wanted to prevent a 'You've Been Framed' moment.

How fair spirited yet hypocritical is that! (See what Webber had to say to know why)

Someone needs to ask him some hard questions... F1 journos as a group are much too supine.

They should have told FA and the others from Ferrari that they were blatantly lying and trying to take people for fools (but failing to do so and just looking crooked) and then asked them to respond.

If FA was a politician (which in a sense he is) he would have deserved to be eaten alive by the journos.

Alonso received immunity in spy-gate (which he was a part of) and Singapore-gate (which I have no doubts he knew about). Its about time he was asked hard questions even if it came from sleezebags like NOTW. Schumacher was grilled unmerciful in the post Austrian '02 GP PC. Why shouldn't Santander Fernando receive the same?

In his interview, Webber basically sided with Alonso. Stated that team orders had always been in play in F1... that the teams used technical reasons or pit stops to circumvent the 2002 regulations.

Fernando said to the Spanish media that his relationship with Massa is the best teammate relationship inside the big teams, by far.

wasnt FA burned alive in the press conference after Hockenheim race? what else F1 journalists should have ask?

F1 journos are not the best of their class. For sure. Easy to influence them. They use to behave as a lobby team usually ruled by someone external, as FIA, as Bernie, as some sponsor, as some english industrial car manufacturing conglomerate that believes that F1 is their (offtopic: F1 belongs to Bernie. And Bernie has no other god but money)

FA passed the moment as he could, a difficult moment. But that's all. Move on. We all saw what hapened in that race: a team who wants that driver X wins the race. We all see that thing EVERY YEAR.

Since it's forbbiden, drivers HAVE TO LIE. And all they do¡¡¡

Ask vettel, lewis, rubens, heikki, kimi, schumacher (the good one) or anyone who has ever been in a car capable of winning races. Maybe some of you are too young to belive that there's a real world behind all that glamour and fast cars and money. And race drivers are human beings. Never forget. They are as weak as you and me.

WTF about fair races? This is bussines, and all that the owners of the team consider to be fine for their objectives has to be acomplished. It doesnt matter if it's Santarder or Domenicalli or LdM or his mother. The TEAM wanted FA to win that race, and did all they could.

Well if they aren't and further if there is tension between the two sides of the garage then there will be friction in the team. That's not good as if mechanics and other members are stressed mistakes can be made and if it gets worse then contempt and favoritism can form, causing a split. Similar to what we saw happen at McLaren in 2007.

Guys, Alonso is gonna totally own Hungary GP.

If my memory serves me well, he got the pole with that dogcar Renault gave him last year, and was first in the race until he pitted and he had a problem with a tyre and DNF.

I think that with that F10 hes gonna own everyone massively, even if RBR is still a bit ahead in terms of performance

:rotfl:

So after so much polishing of Nando's 2010 WDC trophy last week after ONE RACE, what's up now? :rotfl:

You think you can get a refund of the trophy's engraving to Nando's name in the off chance that in a parallel universe, he might not win it? just in that slight chance he might not win :stoned:

Highlights:
Massa and Domenicali 0:57-0:59
Smedley 1:09

Today again great qualifying from Fernando. 0.344 faster than Massa in Q3 and 0.620 in Q2. Just for comparison: Hamilton was 0.415 faster than Button in Q2 and in Hamilton thread everybody say something like "Oh, how great this Hamilton is". So i think it's pretty fair to say that Alonso had also great qualy.

Nope, but I hardly consider beating his teammate cause for celebration. Every time Nando hasn't had a good result this year *cough lots of times* all we hear is how badly he's beating his teammate. I'd rather his fans speak of how many mistakes Nando is doing this year that he has had missed opportunities REALLISTIC oportunities that he has blown on his own. He could potentially be winning the WDC this year, but we don't hear that, all we hear is Nando beat Massa LOL oh wait, last week we heard about how he is going to win the WDC this year and how he was so going to "own" hungary LOL 1.2 seconds!!
