The car in post 701 is Hakken Sandberg's JBS- Norton.

Looks like Martin Stretton in the 250F but I don't know whose car it is. The blue Maserati is the Rattenmeir's V8RI with fettler Sean Danaher at the wheel.

Scottie Taylor in the lowline Cooper, I presume.

It was converted, Tony, but an previously unseen cement mixer in the back ground resulted in a vicious crop and the full effect was sadly lost!!!

Finally managed to make it today - and it dried out nicely :)

Had a nice chat with aforementioned Swedish gentleman with the 1952 JBS, very pleasant chap, he was pleased with its 'shakedown' and hopes to race at Croft soon (fair slog, as I believe he said he was staying with friends in the New Forest)

Didn't bump into any other forum members, which was a shame - still, maybe next time

Took a few stills, havn't found them on the Wife's camera yet, will post when (if) I do

Kellison. I know one was being race prepared. Dean Butler discussed it with me at the Revival last year if it is. It is probably running a very high spec Chev small block.. lots of bhp, or rather BHP I always hope someone turns out in a suitably powered Kellison C5 Coupe in GT racing.

Thank you Roger ! That sounds right on the button.
I don't think the conditions suited it but a lovely machine and well presented.

It looks like a car from the NASCAR craftsman series since it's LHD.
I just failed to figure out what year or model this is supposed to be.

Pick Up trucks have their own series in the UK running on the oval at Rockingham and on road tracks too, Phil White was the guy in #63 on Wednesday morning.

Phil White seems to have been around for years, mainly in saloons. How do his lap times in the Pick Up compare with the more standard Renault Van :)

I'll be honest, that van doesn't usually get many camera's trained on it....... I think if good old fashioned film was still in use, then you wouldn't have wasted an exposure on it, Cyril.

If I understand correctly, that would have to be down to Paul Knapfield as his Lordship (the legendary Irvine Laidlaw) is currently recovering from (another) broken leg incurred when the 67 year old peer (85th in the 2010 Sunday Times Rich List @ £730m, £100m up on 2009!) was moto-crossing in Scotland recently, & thus he is unlikely to be seen again this season.
IIRC there is another CER round at Silverstone on September 12th, so Mr.K. may need to shake down for that at some point............

Afternoon All,
Beautiful morning at Mallory and a fine selection of cars on view bearing in mind that the "Oldtimer" is this weekend.
Many thanks to Mr Hadfield for a different perspective this morning - I really enjoyed it . Good to meet Giraffe and swap tales and opinion as usual!

Mike Wrigley bought along his March for a shakedown session - looked good and sound great .

Mike Wrigley's March 75S was re-imported from the US, and is thought to be the original factory car. It was being shaken down for the Masters event at Donington, and hopefully now the CER round at Silverstone, (Now that I've told Mike about it!)

This little Gemini FJ appeared at Mallory with 30 mins to spare, and as a result had the circuit to itself for the last 20 mins.... (No relation to Kingsleyrob... ;) )
