Thanks for the comments guys, I'd love to enter it into a competition somewhere.

Just been speaking to the driver, he likes it himself! :)

The Stratos was out at Mallory on Sunday

Although it was left on the grid as the quicker cars got away.....

.....it fought its way to the front by the flag ( Sorry as it was a late entry I do not have the driver's name )

You probably won't believe this but Simon Knighton measures 6'9"/6'10", watching him pour himself into the Stratos is an education in itself. The car is designed by the Knighton brothers and the composite work is superb, it is also bloody quick. I'm sure Simon managed a sub 41s on a Wednesday morning.......

I have it on good authority ( Gelscoe's Andy Newall) that this car....

....was out last Wednesday morning with it's driver from 1965 ( & owner of Mallory Park) behind the wheel. Surely someone caught it on film?

I am planning on being back on duty in the morning, all being well. Weather looks promising too!

Yes, it was out with Chris at the wheel but it was a photo shoot along with some T70's. We were constructing the barrier along the back straight while the shoot was taking place.

Thanks for the pics, Congrats to Giraffe on the big 5-000, I really enjoy your posts... any idea what the blue/white/yellow single seater with the wing below the nose is in pic 9 of Giraffes post #1507? It's not one I'm familiar with. Cheers Ian

'Tis indeed a Jedi - one of John Corbyns finest and very quick especially in 1000cc form - I think this particular one fell off today as it returned to the paddock with an askew rear wing...

It is possible to reply without dragging up the photos again, just delete the bits which refer to the image location; that way you can quote the post but not repeat the photos. :)

I thnk I may have been wrong on the slow Onyx Surtees man - was it in fact the even more legendary 'Branco Abdul Halik', not Mr Ali Hodzic? Yes, I do have a little too much time on my hands...

Right, not a bad day really despite the lack of cars really. Few nice things going about. Was in the arty sort of mood today, some modern stuff mixed in.

I was gutted when I saw how this first shot turned out, but have it anyway! Kind of works as an abstract.

Always worth experimenting

Delta44 might be interested in the F3 Ensign that was out as I think he was driving it.

I almost got there today, but my better half reminded me her A2 was booked for an MOT. Maybe next week.

The first meeting for the HFO is this weekend at the Hockenheim Ring. The first official day is Thursday for familiarisation/installation laps so most of the missing persons have probably gone over the pond by now. Next week should be better and the week after is the week of the Historic Festival at Donington, so they`ll all be busy back at Mallory on a Wednesday again....hopefully!!!!
