Maybe it's just me. For some reason any 996 in race trim doesn't look right to me at all.

I believe this is the car currently owned by Jack Taylor. It's a 1953 Lotus VI with a 1466 cc MG TC engine, de Dion rear axle and body designed by the original owner and made by Williams & Pritchard.

Glad to see it has come out of hibernation; I saw it at the Donington show a few years ago and it was covered in ally oxide.

Ivan Russell's Anglia 105E.

I think this is Al Frayling-Cork's Austin 7, but stand to be corrected.

Overview

A major event held on the fourth Saturday of each month on Churchill Island in Phillip Island, the Churchill Island Farmers' Market promotes the some of the very best in fresh regional produce. I have heard a rumour from a usually reliable source that Mallory is going to lose it's unsilenced (unofficially) Wednesday morning testing (well, at least 3 out of every 4 weeks) due to local resident's complaints. Gatmo, tell us more please?

I out testing tomorrow and Mallory have asked me to silence the car as its a 105DB day.Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Never mind first Mallory test this year and I am looking forward to breakfast.Thats a Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. : :)

I suspect that if you want your Matras, Ferraris, F5000 etc, you will need to head over to Donington in future..... :well:

With a silenced T70 :(

A decent turn out, it was nice to see the Pochciol capri out again.

Although it it had issues under breaking especially at the hairpin, a few near miss moments. It stopped in the Bus Stop after Tom Pochciol told me that something gave way on the left handside, he didn't want to risk driving it...

after waiting and chatting, the session ended and he wanted to coast it down to the paddock, the engine fired but as he was moving I noticed the wheel on the left hand side moving backwards and forwards as he tried to drive, tie bar was my first thought!

A JCB was called to try and move the capri which was now on the outside of the bus stop, I could see the worry in his face as this big angry JCB came backwards up Devils Elbow.

After much thought (30 minutes odd) as to how it was going to be moved the from where it was it was lifted at the front end and moved into the carpark where it was seemed to be fixed before being loaded onto the trailor and taken away about 3pm.

An eventful day for Tom!

Cheers dude, much appreciated!

No, I suppose I wasn't. Spent half the day averaging over 100mph with a best lap of 101.04mph! Not bad for a shakedown and four months out of the car. Hope it made for some exciting viewing; one-handed opposite lock through Lake Esses whilst I adjusted the brake bias for Shaws Hairpin was a certainly a bit hairy.

Power sliding round Gerards was exciting enough for me!

Ive done a quick one, one of many head on shots, If I remember I tried some arty stuff with your car too.

Enjoy!

I sat down in the cafe to eat my full english and thought I was going to struggle, chef then said he had not given me my hash browns.I said I will have them next week. We had a good day athough not too many laps in the Delta.Few teething problems but thats why we went to give her a run. This car was built by our new apprentice over the winter,he has just turned 17 and nothing fell off and i did not die so good job.
If there are any pics of the blue and silver Delta thta would make his day. Thanks in advance Iain.

Great pictures of the Trojan! I am wondering if it is possible for someon to get some more paddock photos of the engine, suspension and cockpit? In particular useful detail stuff of the monocoque behind the seat in front of the engine and the lower suspension mounting points!!

Keep up the great work!

cheers

Suggestion 1: Sit down and talk.
Suggestion 2: Build a noiseprotection wall.
Suggestion 3: Buy noiseproof windows for the residents.

Excellent photos in this thread everybody; I really need to get down to Mallory on the Wednesdays. I only live a few villages away but usually end up working something like 8-4....can hear the engines, but a bit frustrating to see nothing! For those of you who do go, is there a nice mix of cars on most days?

Right, not much of a mix of angles but hear it goes. Was great seeing Wayne, Phil, Ben and Simon and co. Quality isn't great as they are on facebook.

Deep breath and Enjoy!
