Welcome to the 2010 Voting Championship.

NEW VOTING RULES FOR 2010!!
With the aim of making sure that enough drivers are voted for to fill all the points scoring positions, the following changes have been made:
* You can distribute no more than TWELVE points (but less if you want to). [Previously the maximum was ten points]
* You need to vote for at least FOUR drivers. [Previously the minimum was two drivers]
Full rules below:

------------------------------------------
Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race. Also remember that it's the driver's performance that should be rated, not the car's.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes according to these rules:
* You can give a driver either three, two or one point. (Or zero, which is default.)
* You can distribute no more than TWELVE points (but less if you want to).
* You need to vote for at least FOUR drivers.

If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the ignore list for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer). Motivating your own and politely discussing other peoples votes is fine, but ridiculing other people's votes will get you ignored. Posts should be along the lines of:

...3 points: the driver/s you think did the best job during the weekend
...2 points: the next best ones
...1 point: the ones after that

Make it clear which driver you mean. Votes that are too unspecific will be ignored.

Step 3- Voting will close in about a week

Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has been voted for the most times. If that fails then in reversed race result order.
-
Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1 system.
---------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------
Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.

Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.

10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it

Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.

10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly

Note: people who are on the Voting Championship ignore list can still participate in Rate the race.

Button 3 pts - turned things around in qualifying, and posted a decent laptime. Brilliant in the race.
Hamilton 2 pts - was in a league of his own for parts of the race but also suffered heavy tyre-wear at the end. Great race, hard-charging.
Rosberg 2 pts - again there in the race, even if he slid off once.
Kubica 2 pts - another weekend where he appears to have performed faultlessly.
Petrov 1 pt - His best Q-effort so far and pushed hard at the end as he had been careful with his inters.
Vettel 1 pt - pulled out another fantastic Q-lap! Became anonymous in the second half of the race.
Webber 1 pt - Shared the front row with Vettel. Nothing much in the race.

Button 3 - great strategical calls, managed to pass for the lead and took better care of tyres than his super-quick team-mate. Fantastic.
Rosberg 2 - blown Schumacher away again, and by a much bigger margin than ever before
Kubica 2 - again outperforming his car, and opened up about 30 seconds to Petrov in 20 laps before the SC
Hamilton 2 - did great to recover all the way up to 2nd, even if ruining the tyres, did very good in wheel-to-wheel battling
Alonso 2 - finishing 4th after 5 stops is amazing, SC or not, and the final gap to Massa was huge. I loved the pass into the pits! IMO one of his best races ever if we'd disregard the false start
Vettel 1 - not super-convincing in the race but did get pole position and beat Webber at the end again
