Lovely shots, Phil.

I was sorry to miss the Pirelli this year, but will hopefully get out to see at least one BHRC round before the year is out. The Tiger is a glorious beastie, isn't it? Looks like a series of near accidents strung together as it makes its way through the woods.

By the way - I've been using this thread as a repository for all non-specific rally pics (I think my 2009 Pirelli pics are in there somewhere). EDIT: I see you already found it! :D

Judging by the damage to the back end it was in the woods at some point

It was fairly heavy off, there is sequence some where I will try and find a link. He came into service with the frontb wheel jammed in the wheelarch, and a broken wishbone and bent steering arm.

Pirelli Rally time again this weekend...will post some historic cars next week

However just looking at the entry for the British Championship which just about gets above the 30+ mark while the Historic entry is well in excess of double that number

Don't know if that it is testament to the strength of Historic Rallying or a sad reflection on the current state of the British Championship??

Historic entry on Pirelli is down on first two rounds? Several southerners not there? First two BHRC rounds, of course, included the best stages in the UK, so a hard act to follow.

Can we keep rally photos to the pre-existing thread? (Personal photos from rally....) and not extend this one further - it makes it difficult to find old posts/photos. Subject is effectively same. By being on this forum, all are, by definition, historic.

Sadly, the entry for the three "modern" rallies in the Pirelli weekend were very poor. Certainly the BRC is suffering and as the championship "demands" many extra things from the event, the entry fee goes up and thus the clubmen can't afford to do the rally. When we started what was the "Tour of Cumbria" way back it was meant to be an event to allow local crews in the their own forests!

By the way the best forest stages of of course in Kershope and Kielder!

Not exactly a Historic event, but some fabulous cars there, Chelmsford Motor Clubs rally at Brands yesterday. As Mr Arron was taking photos, I concentrated on the ones that did not move ( wisely!) but a lovely day in the January sun in the garden of England.

Cool Eifel pictures. Did you manage to get any of Steve Rockingham in his ex-Works TR7?

First of all the link to the entry list!
Then some more shots:

There was a bunch of TR7s and also Steve Rockingham...in a white '99 Subaru Impreza WRC.

I know that the Peugeots are some of the rarest rallye cars. One of the two Peugeot 205 T16 that were entered for the event was a replica. So were all three cars that 'competet' in 2011(?). I know that some of the original cars were rebuild into the 'Grand Raid' version. I think one or two even became 405s. I can't remember seeing a 205 T16 in anything else but works colours. Did Peugeot sell any competition cars to private teams back in the day at all?

There were of course supposed to be 50 production cars made for homologation purposes, some of which must doubtless have been converted into competition cars. There was a 205T16 run by Peugeot-Talbot Sport UK for Mikael Ericsson so some did get out of the main works team's hands although I do not recall any in purely private hands. But perhaps in France, there were some?

This past weekend was the 25th running of the North West Classic Rally out of Portland Oregon-does that qualify for this thread? Since my usual mount had burned a piston I took I my alternative-she didn't seem to struggle too much keeping up with the Lotuses and Alfas:

200 cars for Group B.

I think Patrick Snijers ran a T16 in the European championship, with Bastos sponsorship? And Bernard Darniche ran a Gauloises-sponsored car.
