A few pics I took of Gary Nixon on the Irv Kanemoto 250TZ at Laguna Seca:

Nice little battle with the Hansford KR250.

Change of leathers for the big race, and Gary checks the condition of his slick on the Morris Mag:

Very good pics again, Philippe, however I suspect this may be from the 1977 race, not 75 ;) .

Probably.... I am an old guy with not much hair left, and all the pics are mixed! :)

OK, I had just got married and my wife who has better brain cells than me just told me that it was indeed in 1977.

Yes, it is Erv of course. :)
The pictures were all taken with a cheap Canon AE-1 with a 28mm lens. That's what I had, and I still have it. I had to have it re-sealed once as the foam seal at its back turned to mush over the years.

OK, here is a pic I particularly like because it so much reflects the period, with the track barely clean, the spectators pretty close to the action and not being ripped by Bernie and his pack of gangsters, me taking the pictures directly from a place where I might get one of these guys in the face if they lose it, and tires that were junk. Can you tell who this is?

Clue: he was a pig farmer and had the thickest accent from the boonies. But he certainly could drive a TZ.

Looks like Dale Singleton to me Philippe. ..He had a huge crash at Mallory esses one year and I swear the bike hit the tree that used to overhang the exit!

Lost his toes at Craner? He was a really good guy.
