Fair point. Although I would say that a lot of incidents seen this season smack more of deliberately forcing cars wide than due to miscalculation. 

They definitely do, but not all - hence we can't escape a stewards' decision. A black and white rule wouldn't quite work.

Glad to see that all the Hamilton fans now agree that you have to give the other driver space on the outside of the corner exit.

The stewards sure are setting a strange precedent here. It’s always been accepted in chicanes that the inside guy can claim the corner if he stays on track and if the guy on the outside skips it then they get penalised. You see these incidents at places like Monza every year. But now you have to leave space for the other car?

Edit: it’s very rare that you see cars going 2 wide through a chicane
