The CRMC (Classic Racing Motorcycle Club) have been given the honour of reopening Donington with a 3 day event over the 13th to 15th August 2010.

Featuring over 50 races for both solo's and sidecars along with club parades and lunchtime spectator parades (yes you can ride your bike around the track) we're set to have a cracking meeting.

Ticket prices start from £6 for the Friday and £12 for the Saturday or Sunday, we run an open paddock which gives you chance to get up close to both riders and machines, If you fancy racing then hurry as grids are filling up fast or just come along and enjoy this historic reopening of one of Britains famous racing venues....

Full details can be found on the clubs web site at www.crmc.co.uk

Don't let the word classic put you off, our racers are very, very competative and the action is fast and furious....

See you all there

Great news, it was a sad situation there 12 months ago with a partially dug up circuit and no money, heartbreaking to see after all that Tom Wheatcroft and his gang had done to get Donington back open in the 70's and all the spectacular action we subsequently enjoyed there.

When it originally re-opened in the 70's Donington pioneered things that we take for granted at circuits nowadays, luxuries like a tarmac paddock, mains electricity, flush toilets, soft toilet paper and hot water (i'm not joking!!)

It's great to hear that its back and I really hope this meeting is a big success for both the circuit and the CRMC
