As usual...reading about the silver arrows, and I just come across this photo, in which you can see Alfred Neubauer at the mercedes 2 seater.
The article is in Spanish, and it says that neubauer, at the nurburgring, is sitting in a W154....

Don't know if the photos are from the same era, but I'd say Neubauers seat it's not the same from the W125.
So.... ¿Were there more than one "two seaters"?, ¿Were they converted into single seaters?

The seat was fitted to a Mercedes W125 so that Rudolf Uhlenhaut could study the suspension movement while the car was in motion.
Uhlenhaut himself a very talented driver, was the designer of the W125.
Here is the film narrated by Graham Hill that was made in 1962 using the camera car above.
Nice to see Alfred and Lang hamming up some discussion for the camera's :-)
