Again, some super footage from the YouTube link in post #3!

I cannot for the life of me identify the circuit, tho. Initially, with the images of that high-speed, right-hand sweeper, I thought, Watkins Glen. Especially in view in some frames of the long vistas across the valley. And then there's the footage of what could be a run into the 90 just before the pits but no, nothing else quite fits. I'm stumped. What I can see from the cars in the big-bore sports racer footage is fairly easy to identify, tho. A Chaparral(probably with Jim Hall up), a Shelby King Cobra being hard-chased by a Genie. Breaking out of the pack after a lap or three appears to be the Comstock King Cobra, white with two, broad, widely-spaced dark stripes along the long axis of the car. That would then have to be Ludwig Heimrath in the chair.

Also, I posted over in the initial YouTube offering stating, 'Most definitely 1964, chaps'.

Once again, TYVM for posting, FORGESHOW! Keep 'em comin'! :)

In the first film. first race I see Alan Grant in the yellow Cobra starting on the second row and being spun later.

In the Group 7 race the no. 94 King Cobra would be P. Jones. The no. 2 McLaren is Bruce McLaren. The no. 26 Scarab is Walt Hansgen. The no. 6 Chaparral is being driven by some guy named R. Penske. Did he ever amount to anything?

Also in the first film is Ken Miles spinning out in his Cobra. Plus, the footage of Allen Grant spinning out in his yellow Cobra was used in the film "The Killlers.

I agree. The initial shots look to be the top of the esses where Ceverts car ended up in 73, then moves to the chicane that turned off the Front Straightaway and rejoined in the middle of the Loop Chute, this predating the current Bus Stop affair.

See third map here

The helicopter shot at 6.56 looks to be the very fast left hander before Big Bend both of which disappeared when the Glen was rebuilt in 1971

I'd go along with it being Watkins Glen 1964. I have looked up the race results for the Watkins Glen meeting in June of that year and the cars you see in the entry for both the GT and Sports Car events seem to to match the cars you see in the film. Also, there is a sweeping section of the track you see early in the film that has a white barrier on the outside which was definitely a feature of the Watkins Glen track in those days.
