Hi Guys,
Am I the only one who was not to impressed with rider safety at the recent WSB meeting.
At the start of the WSS race coming out of the first corner there was a collision with Joan Lascorz touching Eugene Laverty at the front of the pack. Roberto Tamburini was collected and carreered off the track and hit an unprotected barrier close to the trackside. He was very fortunate not to sustain serious injuries.
We were told when this track was redesigned it was for bike use, but then after the Donnington fiasco Silverstone was rejigged for F1. Why was airfencing not in use at this point.
Will we have to wait for a tragedy to occurr before the ACU and the track officials get their fingers out and do the job they are supposed to do.
I await a response from said officials.
