Hi Folks, sorry it's taken a little while to get these together, it turned out to be a very difficult thing to photograph, poor old Pat was tearing his hair out. Anyway this is what we have got so far, I'll try and get some individual shield pics at some point.

2010 winner will be Mike Smith who has just tied up the YPM championship on Gerry Pell's RD350F2

Well done ST, I was trying to make them out, saw Lerego, Mick Patrick, Mick Robbo, Pete Bowers, then my eyes started hurting, scrolled down and there was the answers & list of winners!! Excellent.

Good on you Snowy, I will e-mail my dad to show him (1983).
I had forgotten how many great names there were on there. Interesting to see that quite a few of the riders were from further afield, and not just the home counties, which tend to be the bulk of Bemsee riders.

What happened between 1989 & 1995? Or not as the case may be!?

From what I can remember, it was combined with the 250 class for a while.

Had a word with Pat and Dexter Eyre about what happened to the shield between 1989 and 1995, apparently interest in the shield was waning with the demise of 350 open racing, the only 350's that could be elegible was the 350 production class. Somebody took the decision to bung it in a draw until Dave Stewart took over Bemsee and ressurected it, along with other forgotten about trophies. When the TZR250's and the LC's were combined in what became the Yamaha Past Masters in 2000 the shield became ours and the guys mad enough to wrestle a RD350 against a hoard of TZR's got to fight for it :p

I was very proud to have this trophy in my lounge for a year! Some great names on it.

Anyone got any photos of the other classes, especially the 500cc shield?
