If any of you guys are interested here is the live transponders for the Manx Grand Prix, the modern stuff is out on track now for the second practice session, the classics are about to go, I think I can hear an MV and several singles warming up down the road.

I agree with you about the fairing,but maybe its unavoidable because they have to build a 'crap catcher' into the bottom of it.I know that the Kays have friends in (Italian) high places,so would be able to access the real thing, so building a faithful replica would not be beyond them.They have been involved with MVs for at least 30 years to my knowledge.

Hi HW, it's not so much that strange kink at the lower part of the fairing, I wonder about the width in front of the handlebars...anyway, Dave Kay is mentioned in Mick Walker's book about the road going MV production bikes as his mentor, that book should be more trustable than some of his other products then IIRC, Dave Kay also built Sammy Miller's Gilera replica

Linsdell's Paton sounds better than the MV past here, absolutely fantastic.

I was impressed with those TZB's too but I always knew they were capable of it as I remember Dave Milling lapping at 112+ back in 91 on a 250B in the MGP, and going further back if my memory serves me well didnt Graeme McGregor incredibly crack 112mph on a TZ350 in about 1981?

Glad you're enjoying the link, I think from tonight onwards you will be able to listen to the live commentary too by clicking the radio link on the left of the page, i'm not sure but you might need to open another window to keep the timing screen on at the same time though.

Not to be outdone by his son who is flying on the Paton, Steve Linsdell cracked a ton last night on a 500 Royal Enfield!! and this bike is a genuine old British single not a re-manufactured replica with titanium bits and pieces.

Yep brilliant result for Roy, I spoke to him earlier today when he was staring despondently into his coffee cup in the Hailwood centre having only got as far as Ago's Leap on lap one of this mornings Post Classic race before his TZ250 seized, but he made up for it on the Aermacchi this afternoon.

Senior Classic kicks off at 1.15pm today over 4 laps, after the Junior this morning at 10.15 for the modern stuff (600's), weather forecast is to remain dry and sunny with hardly any wind

Junior race stopped on lap two this morning following an incident at Alpine Cottage, waiting for a further announcement at 1pm from the clerk of the course.

If they decide to re-run the Junior today this will mean a later start for the Senior Classic

Final day of racing today, we have a 1 hour delay this morning while some low cloud clears from the mountain but we cant complain as the weather has been fantastic this year.

The Lightweight should go at 11.15 now with the Senior going at 14.15

Is the Manx going to be on television at all?

They dont usually screen it, although sometimes in the past a condensed version of the official DVD of the event has been shown a couple of weeks later on tv.

Keep an eye on the listings and you might be lucky, if not the DVD will be out in about a months time.
