Very elegant cars, somewhat reminiscent of the Ferraris and Lancias of the period.

The following comes from Willem Oosthoek:

Well done, etceterini.
A couple of additions. The #60 Siata of W. Bailey at Gainesville, GA, described as Fall 1957 was probably photographed during the Gainesville Enoche on the weekend of October 5-6, 1957.

I can't find any Courtland, AL, event in July 1958 for the same car, but there were Courtland races during the weekend of August 30-31, 1958.

all research Willem Oosthoek

I am the steward of a 1952 Siata 300BC which was the car that Henry Wessells III raced before his long career with Alpha Romeos. It is my goal to have the car preserved/restored to the same configuration as when in Henry's ownership. To best do this, I am working to find any documentation or period photographs of Henry and/or the car. Cliff's site and John de Boer have been tremendous resources. Also, Henry kept exquisite records and through the generosity of others, many of those documents have been reconnected with the car. You can see what has been collected so far at www.300bc.com.
