I have just had the pleasure of chatting on the phone to Benny Rood, best known for being a key figure at Cosworth in the early days.

His early motorsport involvement was in motor cycle racing. I'm no bike expert, so I might have got some of this wrong, but I understand that he had quite a lot of success with a Velocette KTT destroked from 350 to 250. This ran with a twin cam head designed and built by Ben.

This machine shows up a little on Google, but I'm wondering whether anyone here can turn up any photos, or more info. Also does anyone know if this machine still exists?

Greetings
I can find a shot of Benny racing in the 1954 Silverstone meeting, plus a couple from the 1953 Lightweight TT. Email me and I will send some proofs.
Perhaps the Velocette owners Club may know if the machine still exists.
