Vettel's late retirement probably dealt a fatal blow to BOF's title challenge as well as to that of the German. BOF does move up into 2nd place but it is very congested around there. Jamiebavfc moves from 5th to 3rd thanks to strong showings from all 4 drivers. yicm drops two to 4th as Webber and Sutil let him down.
Skidmark picks up his first gold medal with 781pts and climbs six places into 5th. That's his joint highest position of the season (Australia). The silver medal went to D82 with 736pts and he climbs eight to 33rd. It's been a pretty miserable season for D82 who has been consistently let down by his #1 driver, Felipe Massa and the supporting cast but a decent race today was enough to see him to his highest position since Spain while he was tumbling downwards from a promising first 2 races. He has done well in the medal table though; and this silver puts him 4th overall showing that when he's good he's very good but also has too many races to forget. The bronze went to two teams. Tamuff_Villa & Skylark68 both picked up 680pts. Tamuff adds his bronze to the silver he picked up way back in Bahrain. Skylark adds his to the 2 golds he has picked up this season and it moves him into a clear 2nd place in the medal table. The 2 teams climbed three to 18th & one to 6th respectively.
There were plenty of other notable movers too. Garth_b dropped six to 16th off the back of Vettel's retirement. Don_Speekingleesh is back to 11th and the brink of the top 10 that he last occupied after the European GP. Carlito is up 3 to 15th and is as high as he has been since race 5 in Spain. The 'race' for the wooden spoon is probably going to be won by Philadelphian who finds himself 107pts adrift of next from bottom. In hindsight, picking Michael Schumacher as your #1 was probably the wrong thing to do. and while Kobayashi has been doing well recently, position #3 was probably the worst place to have him. So it all conspired against Philly.
