OK so anyway it's a tripleheader at Texas this weekend--Friday night Trucks, Saturday midday Nationwide (I assume Danica will be participating, where's DanicaFan?), and of course the main event, 500 miles on Sunday afternoon for the Cup boys.
Forum member grackle pointed out that there is a really cool free feature for the remaining Truck races which allows 100% free, legal, high quality multimedia coverage. It's called Race Buddy and here's the link:

Here's the official weekend schedule:

See you in this thread, race fans.

Hi guys. First of all it's down to three more races in the championship and it's down to any one of three--Hamlin, Harvick, and Johnson. Of the three I prefer Hamlin, then Johnson, then Harvick.
I'd prefer the order reversed, I hope Harvick takes it and if not he then JJ.

. . .Montoya will start 4th. Sounds from his interview that he had a pole car but overdrove the first corner. Not a bad recovery if that's the case. He'll have a good pit stall.
After qualifying today I heard the commentators mention that this year Juan Pablo was turning into a great qualifier with his 3 poles and many top 5s and top 10s.
They forgot to mention that Juan Pablo has a history of being a good qualifier. In 2001 (F-1) he won a breathtaking seven pole positions that year, despite Ferrari's dominance otherwise. In 2002, qualifying was still on the former 12-lap format, and Montoya would repeatedly stun the paddock by snatching pole from the scarlet team on his last flying lap, often with minutes or seconds to spare in the session.
But as always, we his fans are hoping for a lap consistency that will get him the elusive checkered flag.
And they will come. (spoken as an optimistic blatant JPM fan)

Watching that lap makes me sad for US open wheel racing, I used to never miss a CART race

I think everyone stopped, certainly all the top cars took 2 only.
JPM was classified as low as 32nd, currently 15th. Dont know what happened, they didn't mention his stop.

Monty just said "I'm going to let him go. I'm getting really loose in and I don't want to put him into the fence"Just watching from Harvicks car, JPM just went past Logano like he was stood still P14.
(I guess Harvick was looking outside?)
He's one of the faster cars on the track ATM according to BP.

Also when he gets back on the gas it just wants to go straight to the fence, then tries to snap loose at the last moment.
But the main thing for Montoya is loose in.

On the first lap or two he came off a corner and had a huge wiggle on, nearly turned into a tank slapper, but he saved it.
What can they do to help the turn in ?
Coverage here watching harvick in-car. Still under caution.

Not sure if that means the pressures went up by 2.9 psi over the run or what. JPM seems very interested in the pressure rise on the tyres in a given stint.

I saw the animation come up, spotter had no time to say anything.
Tab: GOOD JOB I don't know WHAT that guy was doing, I guess he had a vibration.
JPM: <after a long pause> HOLY FVCK

Yep they discussed doing the opposite of what the frontrunners did. If the frontrunners took 2, they would take 4 was the plan.Guess he took 4 ? now 28th.
Tab says he needs to get away from some of those blue cars--it's Truex (Napa)-Montoya-Ambrose-Jr

"Can't lean on it"
BP: I see it, you've lost 3/4 of a second in the last 6 laps. I got it.
Montoya: YOU WANT TO DRIVE IT THEN?
Montoya: Cos it's stupid loose.
WTF?
BP: The 17 just pitted cos he was so loose he thought he had a flat.
Montoya thinks the RR is flat now actually, they are pitting.

Montoya: So was there any problem?
BP: No, sir.
