Weather looks likely to remain dry but there is a possibility of rain around the time of FP2.
Will we learn much today? FP1 these days is essentially a truncated testing session for the top teams and there has been a lot of 'sandbagging' in FP2 recently.
I am hopeful rather than confident from a McLaren point of view and am surprised to see the return of the F-Duct with the blown flap. With that said Brazil is normally an eventful race and this championship has seen so many twists and turns that I would not be at all surprised to see there still being 3 drivers with realistic champions chances going to Abu Dhabi.

If Massa let Alonso pass voluntarily, naturally not due to his racing result, then he will find himself in Jail for the next six years. Says AFP.

didn't happen in 2007, and I would be surprised they can actually do this...

Oh well, that's too bad, but Ferrari were going to replace Massa with Webber or Kubica anyway! Weren't they? And now they will have a good excuse. So now this is a new conspiracy theory, have Luca contacted this new female Brazilian new president?

People mis-remember Massa letting Raikonnen through. though I have no doubt that Ferrari manipulated the stops slightly it didn't actually happen on track. Kimi pitted later than Massa on the final stop and then came out ahead of him on the track. The comment from the Brazilian chap threatening an arrest is nonsense - there's nothing fraudulent going on but I suspect this is something to discuss elsewhere. With an hour to go does anyone know what the weather is up to?

Yes, as I remember it Raikonnen was just passing by the pit exit as Massa was driving out. If it weren't for the nature of Brazil's pit lane, perhaps it wouldn't have worked that way.
At any rate, Kimi more than deserved that championship. It was a thrilling end to the season, and I was just happy that Hamilton didn't win.

There was another crucial moment in that Massa/Raikkonen swap. It seems to be forgotten...
A lap or two before his planed pit stop, Massa got convenient off at penultimate corner that lost him those crucial seconds...

For reference the fastest time in FP1 last year was 1:12.463.

I think they might be remembering the on-track 'pass' in 2008 when Raikkonen let Massa through at China (IIRC) and had to almost stop, get out and have a cigarette while waiting for Massa to catch up and pass him. The 2007 swap was handled much more cleverly/sneakily.

Schumacher and Rosberg are running 2011 spec (single deck) diffusers.
I guess they have no data from single diffusers as they only ran double diffusers in 2009 while a lot of the other teams started with the single deck option.

What's that truck doing? Red flag coming up?
No one (F1 cars) is out there. So I doubt there will be a red flag.

True, but if there have been reports of stray dogs / other animals on circuit, there would be a red flag irrespective of whether anyone was on track or not...
