Well, just under 55 minutes until FP1 starts and - I can't believe I am typing this - the track is sopping wet!!!!

Posted Image

There are numerous twitters on this, here is a flavour

Adam Cooper Serious stuff now. If this was the F1 session no one will be going out. A plague of locusts will no doubt be coming soon...

Mike Gascoyne And it is now really raining, unbelievable

radarguruF1 Well, well, well #F1 - raining at the Abu Dhabi circuit although radar suggests it is an isolated shower and 'may' track east shortly ...

Also more than one member of the media remarking that if this was the F1 session there would likely be no running...

Showers (albeit low % chance) a threat throughout today and tomorrow.

Imagine a shower like this morning just in time for qualy! Yes please!

Hope those of you watching live FP this morning get some cars running - I have a job interview today so will watch tonight on iplayer...

You mean the "white foam"? This is not oil, but dirt that will cause this.

Oh my god!!!!

What is the chance of rain in November in Abu Dhabi?

If this is an omen, then Lewis Hamilton might be 2010 WDC!

When was the last time rain didn't affect a Grand Prix weekend! Even the desert is immune to Bernie's weather machine. Anyway rest of the weekend will probably be bone dry.

Is it just me or is the BBC online stream being woeful and not even working, it's been like this for a long time. They need to upgrade their servers, hardly ever works.

You can say the same about Red Bull or even McLaren (!), but you choose Ferrari.

Don't worry, Alonso will win another WDC sooner or later.
