Quite a bit of passing (well barging in some cases) in the race so far, track conditions are - gasp - dry and sunny!

Pastor Maldonado passed the car ahead under a rogue green lightboard (during a safety car period), then realised it was an incorrect "flag" - the next two boards were yellow. He let the car he passed back in front, yet he still gets a drive through penalty from race control.
So that might be the first time that we saw a lightboard "malfunctioning" (or rather it would appear to prove that someone has to individually press a button to change each board from green to yellow to blue, etc. etc.?

Hamilton : "We’ve been hoping for some time to improve our revised rear wing. It hasn’t really been working fully since we first tested it at Suzuka, so we’ve not been able to use it to its fullest extent. We knew that it had potential though – and to have it finally working properly is a huge plus for us".
RBR & Ferrari watch out, Lewis is back to business, and has the eye of the tiger...

You never know ! Everything is still possible mathematically, Phil !Yeah, well done McLaren, it only took 18 races to sort out...
I would be happily blasted though, cutting through all the politics we've heard the late week !

SO i'm going with
Webber
Vettel
Hamilton
Alonso
RBR to be too fast. Webber is due for a pole, it tends to go in streaks for each, vettel has had 3 or 4 lately, before than webber took a couple, and before that vettel then before that webber and before that vettel at the very beginning.
hamilton to get in there as fastest of teh rest. Alonso slightly off it after the advantage of teh wetter track helped mclaren. Then the rest. Button if he doesn't use his lock up brakes system. Otherwise massa. or maybe massa anyway.
Then at the start, Webber to lead, vettel 2nd, hamilton and alonso bickering for 3rd. And that's were my magic ball finishes.

Could suit the mclaren slightly more if it is a damp track.
Nico Hulkenberg seems to be rather good on a damp track.

McLaren say they’ve finally got their Suzuka rear wing working, which was key to Lewis Hamilton’s pace in second practice yesterday.

Fantastic image of the McLaren. Shows the colour scheme and the curvature of the bodywork in a unique way.

I would love to recap it for you, george, but I fear I wouldn't be as elequent as someone else. Something about Massa being fuelled to run only 25 laps - taking first place from the Red Bulls - allowing Alonso to stay within a few seconds of the RBRs, leap them at the stops... See what I mean? I can't explain for ****!

LOL at the incredible conspiracy theory the British press pack have concocted. Do they wear tin foil hats in case the aliens come and abduct them to conduct brain probes?!

Concerned discussions going on in McLaren garage re. Hamilton's vibration. So annoying.
Well we wouldn't want him to get in Webber's or Alonso's way for the title win now would we?

How bad it is?
Dunno, but Autosport think that it is something to worry about.

hamilton's time yesterday was only a tenth and a half off vettel's today I think...
Alonso also set his time early, I don't think any of the top 3 have fully shown their hand.
Nice to see button might be able to get involved.
