So here is my opening salvo, removed from that thread, to set the ball rolling.
Of the 46 drivers I reckon I have seen (historic) racing 250fs, here are four of them..
From the 1976 British GP support race, Sir Jack Brabham and Sir Stirling Moss - I think Moss was in Neil Corner's car and Brabham in Patrick Lindsay's
Here are the same two cars driven by their respective owners at the previous year's Richard Seaman meeting

John Surtees, winning with the JCB Piccolo, Oulton Park Historic Gold Cup 1981
sorry to be interrupting the thread but what is with the JCB logo, i've seen it on many historic race cars including a 250gt IIRC at goodyear this year and also a few Chevron B6, is it to do with the owner or normal sponsership by JCB
Great pic by the way Alan.

Please excuse lack of retouching but here are a few pics from the ORP website. AGP 1959 Longford with Stan Jones (Alan's dad of course) on his victory lap.
Len Lukey and Stan during their torrid dice - one of the best races ever at Longford. 3rd pic is Arnold Glass.

JCB sponsored a British historic series in (I think) the '70s, catering for both sportscars and single-seaterssorry to be interrupting the thread but what is with the JCB logo, i've seen it on many historic race cars including a 250gt IIRC at goodyear this year and also a few Chevron B6, is it to do with the owner or normal sponsership by JCB

I never thought that I would ever be nostalgic for the 1960's but the pictures of Charles Lucas brought back many happy memories of seeing a Maserati 250F being driven the way that it should be. The sight of Lucas drifting through the old Woodcote Corner on his way to becoming one of the few people to lap the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit at over 100mph in a 250F remains in the memory. And he wore an open face helmet and short sleeved tee-shirt too!.Some splendid Eddie Whitham photos of Charles Lucas with 2528 at the 1967 Richard Seaman meeting at Oulton Park

Bob, you shouldn't have any problem posting individual photos from your 250F file. In the reply box click on the 'Insert Image' icon (fourth from the right in the left hand group of icons, below the Fonts menu) then when the relevant box appears just insert the url of the photo you want to show, eg:Despite hours of trying I can not embed an image from my Picasa site here so I invite you to view www. picasaweb.google.co.uk/rbmapics and look at the 250F album.

That`s a great photo of Joaquin Folch in his 250F. He is a true gentleman and nothing is too much trouble to him. His cars are always very well turned out and a joy to see - especially the 250F...Bob, you shouldn't have any problem posting individual photos from your 250F file. Apologies for the quality, but it was a borrowed camera
First photo I ever took of a 250F - Levin (NZ) November 1960
At the wheel is Len Gilbert, who ran the Lido Restaurant in Hamilton. The bloke pushing was one of his dish-washers at the restaurant. He later became an F1 driver in Europe. So did one of the other people in the background

These were taken around 1999.
And these in 2009 when the car was undergoing a rebuild, now completed.

That 4CLT in the bg appears to have had a V8 lump in it at a time - can it be identified?

This a photograph I took at Brands Hatch in 1980 of what appears to be a 1955 250F but I will have to rely on others to fill in the details if they recognise the car and driver. I can't even remember what meeting it was I'm afraid.

From memory I think the Hon. Amschel Rothschild had a 250F around this time, no doubt David McK will know.

I have since cheated and found 2507 listed as owned by Rothschild in period and further delving into the little grey cells brought back my surprise at seeing a very, very smart dark blue 250F at Silverstone some 30 years ago when most were predictably red.

No, no, not at all! I know that car well. Should've looked more closely at the dual exhaust of the Maser, too, to realize it had to be an eight, but Maserati exhausts can be tricky ;)
Still, why those blisters on the bonnet? Offhand, I don't recall seeing a picture of the car in period, surely the valve angle can't have been that wide!

Yes, and also - have they unbolted the oil tank? The tail looks a bit truncated. I can't make out if the trailing oddment by the RR wheel is an oil hose or the end of the rope sling. Nah, rope...An interesting towing vehicle in that last pic.

This has to be one of the best Oulton photos I've ever seen.
Compositon- perfect. Get rid of the two stray arms in the marshal's box and it's a stunner. Oops; forgot this is not a photography forum.

Just that one IIRC.A bit apprehensive in asking this, but ... were the Dunlop wheels à la post #22 often fitted to 250F's ?
BRM were going to use them on their cars, so fitted them (and Dunlop disc brakes) to their 250F
