Audi Auto Union Calendar 2011

Not sure is this has been posted before? This looks like a great effort by all concerned and the pictures look excellent.

The photos are excellent but I am unsure about the target audience. If they issue a calendar with photos of Nuvolari and Rosemeyer at these circuits I'll be first in the queue to buy a copy.

My thoughts entirely. They could have saved themselves all the money they must have spent lugging this circus around Europe, and come up with a much more desirable item.

I was rather surprised at the choice of Zandvoort as one of the venues. But perhaps they didn't appreciate the irony?

And I'll be right behind you......for some reason this effort, though admirable, doesn't seem quite right. The photos look almost too computerish-perfect. Me thinks I'd prefer aged imperfection.

Their calendar does look as artificial as their desperate try to make "desireable" products/cars....

Off-thread a bit but as Audi uses the Auto-Union logo as its own, remembering what the other three rings really stood for, are we ever going to see DKW or Wanderer again - I think they had a go at a Horch recently, didn't they?
Oh and the real Audi logo appears in this image, doesn't it?

I'm jolly glad they made it - I think some of the shots - particularly the ones in the mountains are real crackers. Wish I'd been on the shoot. Happy New Year.

Agreed. I'd much rather have period photos.

Indeed!...Wow!...I think all involved are to be commended for their efforts. One day, it would be great to see and hear the pre-war Auto Unions and Mercedes thundering around a circuit together again in anger! Doubt if that will happen, so I'll just have to be happy listening to my 1958 Oulton Park recordings, for the Mercedes, and my Monaco and Monterey historic videos for the Auto Unions!
