Hello,

at the portuguese 1967 Montes Claros Circuit meeting, a swiss driver named Johnny Linder appeared driving a Porsche 904 GTS. His race lasted only 13 laps before he was out.
I'm looking for informations on this driver, his car (which chassis was it?) and which other races did he entered. Also I cannot confirm 100% sure that this was his real name as sometimes the portuguese press of the time didn't spell foreign names properly.

Thanks in advance,
Best regards
Luis

I've found another source that says it was a swiss driver called Michel Linden.
Never heard about it either.

I expect you've checked these links already, but there are details of a Swiss driver called Michel Linder on the Racing Sports Cars site:

http://www.racingspo...-Linder-CH.html

and the World Sports Racing Prototypes site has a race at Montes Claros in 1967, but there's no-one listed who fits the bill.

Michel Linder did however race at Montes Claros in 1969:

Thank you Tim.
Yes I've checked those sites before. Although I think they are great sites, they are both based in each other, and they have some mistakes too. Some time ago I've alerted for some of those mistakes and the result was a total ignorance from them. So I prefer to ask for other sources.
As an example of what I'm saying, I can say that Michel Linder did not race at Montes Claros in 1969. He made an entry request with a McLaren, then changed it to a Porsche and finnaly didn't apeared at all. In fact only seven cars raced in that race.
I supose that the guy I'm looking for is that Michel Linder (and that "Johnny" and "Linden" were mistakes by the media) but I must have 100% sure. But thank you anyway.

Best regards
Luis

Dear Luis,

Michel Linder was my Father. He sadly deceased one week ago. My Father drove Porsche 356, 911, Ferrari, Lotus and probably other one that I didn't know. In the future, I will try to scan some old very nice pictures.

Best regards
Hubert

Dear Hubert,

thank you for your message. Sorry to hear such sad news.
Those photos would be a nice way to remember your father.

Take care,

Luis
