Gerald "Jiggs" Alexander.
Graham Hamilton drove ACE III way after Wally Darrell.
No idea of your stockcar question, have consulted Aranui programmes and 2 of AJ Batt's books, but nothing in them, except that the two drivers each had a car.

Q 10 : Chev Coupes : Ron Sylvester; a flick through the Nelson Beach Race meetings produces Giff and Ross Tait, R Blackburn, Kevin Newport, N Lynskey, A McNaughton, and maybe the inevitable Ron McPhail. I'll be back with a couple more.

Depending on drivers, I'd have gone for the Cooper-Bristol or the C-type. Perhaps I should go and look it up...17 would most likely be the Stanton Special
Later: Ian McKellar's 4CLT Maserati - the AutoNews report doesn't say whether that means fastest lap or fastest in a straight line, but nor does the question

So both Bay Park and Timaru had their inaugural meetings on the same day
(I travelled from New Plymouth for the aborted one - pretty sure I was at the December attempt too)
Timaru was put off from the previous week because heavy overnight rain flooded the infield loops and as no grass had grown the infield was pretty much a sea of mud. Gerald McKissock had appointed me as Chief Pit Marshal and late on the Saturday after testing informed me I that I had to form a "Security team"? to camp in the clubrooms that night and look after the place. Having completed my apprenticeship under Gerry I did learn he had a way of making your mouth say yes when your brain was screaming no
It was quite fitting that Peter Hanna and Gerald McKissock were the initial recipents of the Motorsport NZ Distingushed Service Award. Those two were something very special

All three. Have to admit the "brain" part is from constantly re-reading old material, which helps refresh the memory. Some questions I can therefore answer without looking up, others I need to go to computer records to remind myself. Bound volumes of the likes of Motorman and AutoNews are more of a hassle, unless you know the approximate date you're looking forgood morning david ..do you keep all of this stuff neatly organised in shelves....or all entered on your computer...or mostly in your brain...or all of the above..??? (just wanted to know ! ) as i.m sure many of us would like to know but not as outspoken as me..(or i ) l.o.l..
