Ah, thanks I think I understand some of these (If I've read 'em right!)
1A James Hunt
1B MG racer Barry Sidery-Smith liked to be called Barry Sideways-Smith but it was Roger Clark who wrote "Sideways to Victory" so take your pick!
1C Barrie Williams
1E There were two John Pearsons who raced Jaguar XK120s: one had a reasonably standard car and the other a full house modsports job which had a fibreglass body so he was called John "plastic" Pearson to distinguish him from t'other man.
1G must have been a Miller, but which one . . .

2C Phil Lloyd
2E Frank Lockhart drove the (Spen King/Peter Wilks) single-seat Rover Special for many years

3 Assheton, Viscount Cross of happy memory

8 four: Fittipaldi, Surtees, Hulme, Graham Hill

Well done Simon

3 is not the correct one i was looking for.

The f1 drivers there are actually 8 that fit the criteria, note i said drive F1 and not GP's

If there are two missing F1 drivers on the Festival list, might one be Phil Bullman? I seem to recall that Divinia Galica contested the Festival one year, too. Was that in '75?

Good morning, Pete. Thanks for taking the time to set a little more entertainment for us 'saddos'. Unfortunately I have been beaten to all of the answers I knew, but I had thought that John Burton might have been one of the WRA Ginetta drivers in Q.5

Yes John it was partly a trick question as Hailwood was a Bike World Champion.

Davina is correct she was entered in an Elden MK17 Number 13 as she normally used that number.

Hi Alan, Yes the 2 WRA drivers were Johns Bamford And Burton

Correct so far
1A, James Hunt [The shunt]
1B, Barry [Sideways]Siddery Smith
1C, Barrie [Whizzo] Williams
1D, Geoff[Frizz]Friswell
1E, John [Plastic]Pearson [XK120]

2A.Richard Groombridge
2B, Sid Marler
2C, Phil Lloyd
2D, Jim Yardley
2E, Frank Lockhart

3, Lord Cross

4, Tetsu Ikusawa

5, John Burton 1.0, John Bamford 1.6

6, Derek Daly, Derek Warwick, Geoff Lees, Tiff Needell, Davina Galica, David Kennedy, Keagan/Bullman ?

7C, Tony Trimmer, Bernard Vermilio were both in the program as entries.
7D, Patrick Depailler, Alain Serpaggi

8, Denny Hulme ,Emerson Fittipaldi, John Surtees, Mike Hailwood[Bike WC], Graham Hill. Also entered was Jackie Stewart but he is scratched out so i doubt he raced.

7a: Ulf Svensson and Jörgen Jonsson

7C, Tony Trimmer, Bernard Vermilio were both in the program as entries.

That's fair enough, but following accidents to both cars at the previous race they only had one car available, which was driven by Trimmer.

7D, Patrick Depailler, Alain Serpaggi

There were certainly three works Alpines there, which were raced by Depailler, Serpaggi and Leclere, and I believe they were all entered by Societé des Automobiles Alpine. Lingard Goulding raced his private car.

Many thanks Pete for some more testing questions. Looking forward to the next one.
