I know that Ruth Bentley Sands was a auto racing journalist/photographer in the 50's, primarily on the East Coast. I also know she was married to an Englishman by the name of John Bentley. Anyone happen to know anything further on her (or him) ? Thanks!

Probably the same John Bentley who was involved with John Cooper's book 'John Cooper - Grand Prix Carpetbagger'. First published in the USA in 1977.
There was a Porsche book he did too.

I made the mistake of buying that book.....it contained terms such as "billfold"and a picture of Petula Clark sitting on a bobtail!
and what does "carpetbagger" mean outside of USA?
