Dear All,

I was just having a chat with the some friends in Brazil, that have been to almost every F-1 race in Interlagos when the topic came to a race where Michael Schumacher, apparently, had engine problems for half the race (oil problem) that only affected certain corners but still managed to finish the race.
Can anyone confirm if this really happened and when?
Researching on brazilian daily press articles of all races, nothing similar was commented.

I am really enjoying a lot reading/learning in this Forum....

I have not checked but ISTR a race when he was with Benetton where the gearbox was stuck in 5th but the driveability of the Cosworth engine meant he could cope with the problem.

Yeah, that was Barcelona 1994, he even made a pitstop in fifth. As for Brazil, I can't remember such a race, which of course doesn't mean that there wasn't.

Or it might be Senna in 1991 when his gearbox was failing towards the finish?
