It is with great sadness that we announce the passing last week of Maurie Monk. He passed away peacefully on January 11, but will leave behind a great legacy of involvement in almost all aspects of motor sport, as well as many lasting friendships.

Maurie was one of the founders of CAMS and its first President, as well as serving for many years as a volunteer official, competitor and vehicle constructor.

A Memorial Service will be held in Maurie's honour at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, cnr High St and Pakington St, Kew on

Thursday (Jan. 20,2011) at 3.30 p.m. This will be followed by a celebration of his life at6 p.m. at The Victorian Historic Racing Register

Clubrooms, 30-32 Lexton Rd, Box Hill North.

A large turnout of friends from over 60 years of involvement in all levels of motorsport is expected.
