Dutch national press agency, ANP, reports that 1980s and 1990s sports car racer Charles Zwolsman sr. was found dead in his prison cell this morning, aged 55. Unfortunately, in the last 15 years or so, he made the headlines mainly because of his activities as a drugs dealer, which, in the past, surely also contributed to his racing projects. He competed at Le Mans and in the World Sportscar Championship with his Euro Racing team, first with a Spice-Ford and then with a Lola-Judd. Before that, he also raced for Chamberlain Engineering. His two sons Ross and Charles jr. followed in his footsteps in motor racing.
Here a link to a report on the website of Dutch daily newspaper, De Telegraaf.
