Hello everyone, my name is Michael Flynn.

I live in S.Wales UK

Presently i am spending time researching the famous German Kamei MK1 Golf race car & have a thread here on CGTI:

I am looking for anyone who may have any more historical information, pictures or came across the car during it's time in Germany & the USA to add to it's history.



I am also builing a replica style car with help from Kamei though we can keep that for another time if you like.

Are you aware that there is a Tamiya model kit of this car?

Looks like a chap called Bernd Renneisen spent some time driving a Kamei Golf in 1977.

Unfortunately my collection of Rallye Racing covering this period disappeared along time ago. I'll have a look and see if I have saved any of the photo's when I'm next in London.

Yes i have one of the slot car models though not as good as my full size replica lol.

Would be cool if you do find anything in your archives, regarding Bernd Renneisen i chat with him quite often cheers, he now works high up for AvD.

Michael, if you pm me your email I'll send you an excel with the 11 races of the car (1977 Renneisen, 1978 Assmuth) I have in my database.
