Go even if you can't get seats ... half the track cannot be reached using general admission tickets but you can get some good perspectives from the half that remains open. Easy access via subway ... and a great city to prowl around in.

Well 1st off the "General admission "
SUCKS!!! but as post this msg
GOLD,SILVER, AND BRONZE seats will
almost be gone... so if u go the general
Way, the BIG suggestion is: Show up at
the track early(About 5-6 hrs before
race time) i went last sat year the GA
way and on sat.and got a horrible view
showing up at the track 2hrs before race
time...So i showed up at about 5:30am on
race day and got a great view i also
brought a chair and 2 blankets, it was a
cool and overkast day.

I was in for the race in 1997 and at that point you could still sit in the general admission grass near the Sena curve. Not sure if thats still possible but it was the best "cheap seats" ever. Get to the track early and buy some cheese and wine for a picnic. Also a scanner was great to have because you can get the tv feed live and in English. Besides the people where we were had never seen one. We made lots of friends and had a blast. Have Fun!

Since 1998, general admission is no longer available at the Senna corner. Burly security guards at the foot bridge over the track will stop you unceremoniously if you are without reserved seating in the grand stands located there.

Grand stands 11 & 12 have been moved closer to the track and a new grand stand was added (14 I think) in 1998 to the north of grand stand 11.

Good luck everyone!
