I am looking for the results for the 1989 and 1990 750 Motor Club Auto Racing Series.

Where can I find these?

Thanks, Jim

Do you want any specific formula results. I will have all the F4 from those years if this helps.

(help me out here Peter Stenning) For information the 750 Motor Club were running several sports car series at that time, probably these:-
- racing sports cars in a series called Formula 750, mostly home-built cars powered by the Reliant engine
- probably they still ran Formula 1300, eg Mallocks and the like powered by the Ford engine
- kit cars, though you may not class these as sports cars but may have been titled Group K Sports
- a Road Going Sports Car series in various classes according to engine capacity but popular contenders would have been Morgans, Porsches, MGs, Triumph Spitfires & Ginettas
The reason I mention this is that its worth being specific about which you are talking about because the club run about a dozen different well populated series every year and you would get a better response if you told Robin which particular one.

Yes Erle thats about how i remember , cant say they ran a sports series as such, but the Roadsports did have Modified class as well at one point, and the original Kit Car series with the Ultima's etc.

Formula 750 & Formula 1300 would also be classed as Sports cars.

I still have a pile of programs but not sure i go back that far .

I have the yearbooks for those years. The club ran sportscar championships for
The 750 Formula
Formula 1300
Road going sportscars
Kit cars, and
A Lotus challenge
They give the championship points for each competitor at each event and overall end of year standings (but not the make of car driven).
In addition they have a seasonal survey and/or report from the champion.
If you can be a bit more specific about which championship you are interested in I could probably help you out (but will be offline from tonight until Monday)
Regards,
Steve

Sorry about that Guys, I did not know that that series had that many contenders and so many classes.

I am looking for sports car racing that would include the Porsche 911, Lotus Turbo Esprit (Jeremy Ferguson driving), Jaguar XKE, MGB.

Any photos?

Thanks, Jim

In 1987 Jeremy Ferguson came 3rd overall and 1st in class B of the Niftylift Lotus Challenge, with 30 points out of 5 starts in a Turbo Esprit. It looks like this was the first year of the all Lotus challenge.
In 1988 he scored 10 points from 5 starts to come 16th overall and 5th in class B
In 1989 he scored 7 points from 2 starts to come 19th overall and 2nd in class D (Now called the Gerry Wainwright Motorsport Lotus Challenge)
In 1990 he scored 9 points from 3 starts to come 16th overall and 3rd in class D
In 1991 it was called the Twincam Techniques Lotus challenge and he did not take part.

As for Porsches MGBs etc, they would only have run in the Road Going Sports Car series. Jeremy Ferguson did not compete in Road Going Sport Cars during those years.

No photos, sorry. This could be where the trail goes cold, as far as the 750 Bulletins go anyway.
