My wife and I are taking in our first GP at Hungaroring, arriving in Hungary 9 days early. We have Gold grandstand weekend (numbered seats) I seem to recall. Any tips for a first-timer--when to arrive for practice, qualifying, race, things to watch out for, etc? Any special advice on transportation from Budapest (a car is available to us if that's desirable)? Etc.

I'd say you have excellent seats for siting in most of the day, you'll see what's going on all day. I would sugest however if you want to to walk around the track on the 1st 2 days, have a look around etc. This is when you can get good photo's of the cars. I don't really know what to look out for, as I don't know if it's the same everywhere. Are your seats on the pitt straight? If so have you got a screen you can see? I hope so, as this is the only way you will see the action of the whole race.

Well, I was on Hungaroring two times, and i know pretty much about it. You sits are on main grand stand on start/finish line. Last year a big monitor was on start on the s/f line so you would have difficulty to wach him. But that is not too bad. For transprt I think is best to have a taxi, and only with official taxi. Thay have access to bernie ave. wich is VERY good. Well that is it.
