Does anyone know who the centre Lotus mechanic is and if so whether he is still alive?

Sorry, I hoped to be able to post an image straight on to this topic but not yet clever enough.

In Imageshack, when you’ve uploaded the photo, you need to copy-and-paste the link called 'link for forums' (or something similar):

The photo is a bit blurred but could it be Dick Scammel?

Gordon Huckle, who was alive as of last year.

Confirmed. Is McCall of Tui fame also there? And is it Snetterton?

Gordon attended our 'Lotus Racing Film Festival' last November, the first of such events he had attended and had a whale of a time.

Should have recognised Silverstone, I stood there often enough, drove under the bridge a few times as well.

The late, great, Jim Endruweit squatting? (Can't think of anyone else who would be wearing what appear to be suede boots), and at the back, Bob Dance?

Ity's got to be 1967 - McCall left at the end of that year IIRC.

I really don't think that's Bob Dance at the back.

It's not Derek Wilds, and, I think, too tall for Cedric Seltzer, not too familiar with Beaky Simms, it may be he, can't say I ever met him while I was at Lotus.

You're right it's Gordon Huckle. I knew it was Gordon someone and last met him some 46 years ago when he sold me a ex Lotus Super Seven engine and gearbox to put in my Elite. I'd like to make contact with him again, do you or anybody have any details?

The guy at the back looking away from the camera is Dougie Bridge, I believe. I heard (can't remember where, now) that he had died but don't have any further info as I lost touch with him when he moved to Spain a few years back. It would be good if someone can confirm either way.

We are lucky to have this youngish chap down the road from here who was once a Lotus & McLaren mechanic etc, L Wybrott, so I'm always personally have an extra interest in who in these types on images. It's amazing what people pull out of archives from time to time.
