Any clues on what the ring gear came off as used on the little flywheels fitted to the 30 degree lean over FJ/F3 motors in the early sixties?
The clutch shaft running through it all is a 10 spline, 7/8" and MK IV Hewland box is relatively early, serial numbered just above 100 together with a 30 degree Hewland Spacer Plate.
I've had a couple of possible votes so far, one for a Renault Dauphine and the other as "maybe some small Fiat".
I imagine that one of those may be about right, or not far off the mark at least........any ideas??
The flywheel in question over which the ring gear is shrunk, measures 7.885" over it's front side edge.
It's stamped "Shrunk on 12/64" which may date the ring gear as earlier than that......
