In a text from a former employee a workshop in El Segundo, California is mentioned, owned by one Einar Jonsson.

I would be grateful to learn more info about this man and his workshop, that according to this text was in some way involved in the Scarab F1 project.

Thank you!

The following link is about David Norton. Apparently he worked with Jonsson on the Shelby Indy project. There is contact info on the webpage for Norton:

Vince H.

edit: Here is a link to another webpage about Norton's "Shrike", with contact info:

Thank you, Vince, I also found this and already contacted Mr. Norton.

Another mention of Jonsson in connection with the indy turbine project:

In the meantime I received a very kind reply from David Norton. Amongst other things he wrote: „I worked for Einar Jonsson for less than two months, during the final weeks of the Shelby-Wallis turbine Indy car project. Einar's company was under contract to Carrol Shelby for the design and construction of the four-wheel drive system for the car.“
David also pointed me to an article published in Road & Track, August 1968, about that system. Furthermore: „Prior to the Indy project, Einar had done considerable work on hydrostatic transmisions and drive systems for passenger cars but was unable to attract sufficient funding to develop anything ready for production. It is my understanding that he had purchased a Lola T70 as a test mule and technology demonstrator, but I think the Shelby project set that one aside, and the car was later sold.“
