Apart from the obvious Charlie Williams on the left, there's Barry Ditchburn just visible aboard the 250 KR Kawasaki - I think he only rode it, with this unusual white with green stripe helmet ( vs. plain white the previous years ) for one season so that should at least give us the proper year ...1978 from memory but I'll check...
edit : actually it seems he rode the 250 longer than just one season in UK meetings and that helmet style seems to be from 1979...

I remember Dave Dean and all the hype about being the next Sheene etc. Too much pressure perhaps ? I seem to recall he didn't like it.

Cracking photos. It looks like the middle photo was taken at the post TT meeting. If so, Labuschagne is listed in the programme as number 28, riding for Mead Speed. Murray Sayle wasn't originally entered in this race, but is listed as an additional rider in my programme (no. 103).

I second that! It would be good to see more from the album, regardless of the condition of the photos !

The Tom Herron shot probably from fairly early in the '79 season then, since he hasn't found time yet to have a set of leathers made in the official Texaco-Heron Suzuki GB colours....
April 79, I think. I'm sure I read somewhere that he had to revert to his old leathers after his Suzuki GB leathers were stolen in Venezuela.

Or could it be a one off? ride in 1978 Philippe as I think the pics are at Scarboro & that meeting comes after the NW200 in which poor Tom lost his life in 1979.

Or not just looked on Stephen McKeown site & Tom rode #3 at Cadwell in April so could the pic be Cadwell 1979?
Looking at the dates, I think you are right. The Cadwell international fell between the Venezuelan and Austrian rounds (when he was back in Suzuki Leathers). Bottom of the Mountain?

Note gaffer tape over the sponsors name on the arm. Texaco presumably not keen about Tom carrying Castol on his leathers!

I think the sidecar driver is Gordon Nottingham, with Steve Johnson in the chair.

The 4th pic looks like Dale Singleton but a few years earlier ( 1980 ? ) then a rare shot of Virginio on the HB Suzuki ( he was injured most of the year...) and the last one is of course Bazz in 1982 .
That's the easy ones done
Interesting shots, actually
