Hi all,
I bought this picture (photographer / copyright Lester Nehamkin) of Pedro Rodriguez talking to ??
Is there anybody who recognizes this man and could tell me his name? My guess is that the picture was taken around 1963.

Was it taken when Pedro was in his Sherlock Holmes phase. I feel I ought to recognise him and my brain is screaming Ferrari at me, I don't know why, I don't think it's Mario Fogi-wotsit....

No, not Mauro Forghieri.
The photographer worked for Sports Illustrated and I believe this picture could be taken at Riverside 1963, when Pedro drove a Genie.
Pedro wore his deerstalker that race as I've seen pictures of him, sitting on the rear wheel of the Genie.

I thought that Riverside was in a desert area and the trees in the background might not support it being there. The bloke Pedro's talking to looks American to me based on haircut & clothing so how about Sebring ?

I agree, Gerry. Rodriguez drove Qvale's Genie four times in 1963. There is a photo in Competition Press of Rodriguez and Qvale getting set for the victory lap at the Kent USRRC. Nehamkin took the Competition Press photos for the Laguna Seca USRRC. Maybe Luc's photo is from that race?
