Gorgeous - I can almost hear the distant grumbling and howling from my home here in Shropshire. I moved here quite recently from a place close enough to Donington to be able to hear the racing when the wind was in the right direction. I have an abiding memory of watching the European F1 one summer a good few years ago with all the windows open so I could hear the scream of those cars from the distant racetrack. It was a wet summer's day and the day that Senna took victory setting a new Donington lap record in the process (albeit by taking a shortcut through the pit straight :drunk: ).

I also recall driving past the old Melbourne loop in the company of an old friend (sadly no longer with us) who recalled seeing the "German" cars with all four wheels in the air as they crested the rise before the braking zone :stoned:

I, for one, will be at their Festival in June and wish them every success in their resurgence from the damage caused by Ecclestone's machinations.
