Does anyone know anything about this championship? The only piece of information that I know is Dieter Quester and Prince von Bayern raced two BMW M3 with Frick Motorsport, but other than that I couldn't find anything else on the net.

If you google around a bit you'll find the winner of the 1995 Austrian touring car championship quickly enough... Walter Lechner senior driving a Wolf-Racing Ford Escort Cosworth.

Perhaps you can contact him if you want to know more: www.walterlechner.com.

I got a video clip of a pile-up at the Hella Licht chicane during a downpour.

I believe it is part of the OTM race at the old circuit. I will upload it into YouTube in a minute.

Hmm. I'm not that sure ...

Other websites say that Claudia Hürtgen (Wolf Escort, too) was the champion, after a whole lot of protests and discussions.
http://de.wikipedia....Claudia_Hürtgen (on her own website she says "1996", but can this be true?)
http://www.schubert-...fahrer_2007.htm

This is the final news I could find, in Motorsport aktuell 51/1995:

Posted Image

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Standings after the last race, but without the final decisions mentioned above: 1. Hürtgen 130, 2. Treml 114, 3. Quester 88, 4. Lechner 76, 5. von Bayern 67, 6. Blasko 66, 7. Pondorfer 47, 8. Gabat 30 (MSa 45/1995)

So IMHO Lechner can't be true. Something official would be useful.
