A Jean de Marguenat raced Rolland-Pilains at Le Mans and elsewhere between 1923-1925. A Jean de Marguenat (1893-1956) was a film director. Can anyone tell me if the race driver and the movie director were one and the same?
The racing driver had an associate named Vladimir Racheweski (or Rachowski or however the Cyrillic was translated) who also raced Rolland-Pilains. Does anybody know anything about him?
Thanks
John

Thanks for that. Very useful. De Marguenat's film titles suggest they were a little risque for the times. He, and his friend Vladimir, raced in the USA in 1926 and later his films often had gangster themes, I believe - based on experiences, maybe ?
