Lovely. I know exactly where one would fit in my house. But I'll have to win the Lottery first!

(or wait until the Chinese copy them and sell them on the Green Park railings on a Sunday)

The fun is in trying to work out the origin of all the components

As they are built out of old car parts do you think he would pay me to take them away?

Not likely!

James Corbett used to be a wrecking yard proprietor (a small business, just him and his shadow working there) selling Renault and Peugeot pieces to the masses. That's how he stared in this game, he always had a lot of stuff left over... and an overactive imagination.

He's been doing this professionally for about 13 or 14 years. To the bitter disappointment of 'the masses', myself included, who'd have preferred he remained in the business of keeping our cars in business.

Out of interest, I had occasion to look briefly at someone else's similar work the other week when I was stuck halfway along the Putty Road (broken timing belt...), this bloke had given me a lift as I hitch-hiked back to my car with the last of the tools I needed to fix it.

He's bought the old 'Half Way Cafe' there and he plans to restore the burned out building and turn it into a combination of cafe and gallery for his art.

I thought I snapped a pic of his enormous shining silver sculpture out the front, but it's not there on the memory card so I mustn't have done. It contained things like beer kegs (the stainless steel ones, polished to the max) and so on and rose about eighteen feet from its base.

Sorry for getting his name wrong - confused myself with the name of the gallery

Ruvvish? Has friend DGMcK :smoking: been using a Russian typewriter. Could be confusing.
But I do like the potato-chopper grille on the single seater
